Display Rich Text Monospace for displaying ASCII tables, grids, and other special char correctly

Appian's Rich Text component doesn't seem to render or handle extended ASCII char very well. In the above example we can see the same text rendered. Ideally we would like to display these text in a mono spaced manner. In addition to mono space issue; there also appears to be a vertical spacing issue.

Is there a way to configure a rich text component so it complies with ASCII extended chars better?
