Can I preview the excel documents in the document viewer field

Best answer by mikes0011

Since nobody mentioned it yet, No.

There's a paid plug-in that can basically do it - it was originally branded "PDFTron" (it can display PDFs, word docs, excel docs if i'm remembering correctly, and some others), but its name has changed to something else that I don't remember.

No. If you are using SSO, you can put a file on the content management/document management system(ex. SharePoint, etc.) and create a safe link in Appian.

Yes, there are a couple of plug-ins. However, as per my knowledge, all of them required some licensing. Please let us know if there are any plugins that we can use without a license.

You're right - that's what i meant by "paid plug-in" initially.  The one I'm referring to, though, can be tried for free (the functionality is available but documents display with watermarks or something similar).  If it were drastically needed funcitonality for a project, I could see the licensing fee being worth it.

If you use Sharepoint, you could try embedding the Sharepoint preview link in a Web Content Field.
