Error while mapping a record field.

Can anyone help me with why iam getting this error when iam try to map a new field in the record table. Iam new to appian.

Can you give more context on this issue like
Which field you selected produced this error and what changes you made for that field in backend level?

Could you please check logs? tomcat-stdout.log.

I assumed may be you missed the field in the record . So go to datamodel, modified data source fields and sync the record type. i hope it will fix.
