How to save updates

The Appian exercises instruct users to "save often", as updates are not automatically saved, but I am not seeing an explanation of how to do this. Is it just when you click "save" when creating/updating an object? If so, the reminder seems unnecessary as you must click that button to move forward. Is there something I'm missing?

    It means clicking "save" (or pressing CTRL+S, etc) to save your objects, as any changes would be lost i.e. if you experience a computer or browser crash.  This is not related to any "move forward" functionality that I can think of.

    By "move forward" I meant to finish an action of creating/updating an object and closing the dialogue box. Sounds like I am saving as intended. Thanks!

    Generally this advice would apply to whenever you're editing a rule / interface / process model / record type (etc), not really to the initial creation, since as you say, an initial saved state is implicitly and instantly created at that point.
