The Excel Tools smart services (CDT to Excel and SQL to excel) are deprecated (and have been for the past several years as you note) but still work in all modern Appian versions as far as I've tested.  The "official" replacement is "Export DSE to Excel" but, sadly, it leaves out several critical features and (IMHO) has never been a fully sufficient replacement.

    Hello Mike,

    Is the SQL to Excel deprecated recently? I have used it a couple of months back. Not sure why I still see this if it is deprecated. Looks like I have both the smart services.

    it's been deprecated for several years, but how it shows up for you will depend on the version of the plug-in you have installed.  iirc if you have version 2.0.0 or earlier, it'll still show up as normal.
