Send a notification to user when a new task arrives

Hey! So I'm like a total beginner at Appian and I have this new requeriment where I need to send a pop-up/notification to the user when a new task is available. The problem I'm facing is that I can't use the "Send Push Notification" smart service because the client wants desktop notifications, not mobile ones. Could you give me some direction on this matter, please? Thanks in advance!

As Appian does not have any desktop component, and there are no desktop notifications. When a task is assigned, assignees get an email and a mobile notification by default.

It might be the most appropriate way of doing it but what you can do rather is to keep the notifications for your mailbox turned on, for your desktop and let the Appian send you task emails.

What you care about is also what I care about but after I find out, there will be no push notification in Appian, all information will be emailed to users
