Wyndhamm Power Outage: Technicians group doesn't exist

I have added the Wyndhamm Power Outage app from the App Catalog, then I need to add my user to the Technicians group but this group doesn't exist.

The Appian Community Edition is on a later version - 24.4 - and the exercise is based on 24.2 version. In Security Summary a warning is detected: "Missing administrator group. No basic users will be able to administer these objects, which includes editing their security or deleting them".

 Hi [mention:ede29233f4e941509c313dedee83f244:e9ed411860ed4f2ba0265705b8793d05] !

After review, it looks like the app catalog deployment was still in progress (and is now completed). You should now have the latest WPO application. Keep in mind that this will be indicated by W###WPO01 in the application prefix.

App deployments can take time - but you will receive an email once they have successfully completed.

Hope this helps!

Hi [mention:ede29233f4e941509c313dedee83f244:e9ed411860ed4f2ba0265705b8793d05] , I think for that application, security has been configured with a specific group, so only members of that group can perform actions such as editing, modifying, or deleting.Outside of the group member cannot be an administrator . If you want to perform any actions, you must be a member of that group, and to do so, you need to raise a request. You can see the message also which it is displaying it in a banner.

Yes, and that group is Technicians group. But like I said, I can't add my user to this group because the group doesn't exist. And if I don't add my user to the Technicians group I can't do any actions (editing, modifying, etc..)

The way I found to resolve this is to ask for the application to be re-deployed to your environment.  To do this, you access the App Catalog from the My Workspace/Explore section of your Community Edition homepage.  Search for Wyndhamm app, click on the tile returned from search results.  Then in the upper right hand corner of the web page, click on the "Deploy App to Workspace" button.  HTH.
