Same here. I think there are issues with the App Market links in general. I can’t download anything.

Yes, for everyone. It may be because the platform is in this transition period.

Appian is still in progress of updating/migrating their resources to the current system, it may take a day or two, lets check back :)

With the recent updates the plugin page/location is modified as well. Here is the new PDF Tools page URL. The documentation is still missing in this though and download has issues which I hope should resolve soon.

As a workaround for cloud environments:

  • Plugins are downloadable from the Admin Console in the development environment, so download the old version of a plugin to preserve its version, if applicable
  • install / update the plugin
  • Download the updated plugin
  • Unzip the updated plugin. Some plugins have the documentation embedded in the jar file, but most do not.
  • If needed, you can directly upload the old plugin version to the environment in order to revert the plugin version, so long as you have not modified its jar file in any way.
  • As a bonus, you can leverage LLM-based coding tools to summarize the functionality of an extracted plugin, and/or summarize the differences in code between one unzipped plugin version vs another version. These summaries are usually very verbose and may not give you the right high-level differences / release notes you want, so read them with some caution.

Also, have they done away with discussion/comments on plug-in listings?  Or is this just another artefact of the not-quite-finished migration, I wonder?

The emails about the upgrade didn’t mention a later migration of app market comments. Hopefully those come back, as they are one of the only ways to easily understand common issues about community-supported plugins while assessing a plugin.

I have an old copy, but the new forum software apparently doesn’t allow file attachments (though if i’m just missing something, someone can hopefully give me a hint).

You can attach it in this thread using the top bar → attach files icon.

Here’s the documentation for the plug-in as of July of 2020 - probably several versions old, but at the same time, I don’t believe all that much has changed in the meantime.
