Export Data To Excel Macro

Hi,

We have a requirement to write data in one of the sheets where the base template is excel with macro. We are able to write data in the adjacent sheet in the excel macro but the file is getting converted to xlsx. Could you please advise if its possible to retain the excel as xlms or Is there any workaround/ plugin to achieve this.
