export sql to excel configuration

I am having one record which is having more than 50 columns and I want to export it to excel so I was trying to use export sql to excel smartservice but it is erroring like The following error was raised by the Export to Excel function: null so is there any proper documentation available or is it deprecated thats why it is erroring
