MS Word 2007 Doc from Template Replacement Issue

I'm using the MS Word 2007 Doc from Template in that smart service, but when the document is uploaded, it still replaces a few value tags even though the replacement values are already present.

    Can you clarify what you mean by this part?  I'm having trouble following.  Perhaps a screenshot snippet of what you're seeing in the Appian node, versus what you expect and/or a screenshot of the comparative replacement keys in the template file.

    yeah, i was figuring it might be this too, but was waiting to mention it until OP could hopefully provide some clarification, since if it's a different issue, this might contribute addiitonal confusion.  also: i can't believe they haven't fixed this yet.  i was dealing with this issue literally 12 years ago.
