SQL To Excel Smart Service issue after upgarde to 2.1.6

After upgrading SQL To Excel Smart Service to 2.1.6 version, the smart service generates the excel file and preserves the template formatting, but the mapped cell values are missing. We rely on cell key and cell value mapping to populate the data. It was working fine in 1.3.0 version.

Based on the plugin code
In version 1.3.0, Cell_Keys were treated as Excel cell addresses, allowing values to be written directly to specific cells.
However, in version 2.1.6, the implementation appears to use text replacement instead of direct cell-address mapping. This could explain why the Excel template formatting is preserved but the mapped cell values are missing.

If you are exporting database records into Excel, try using the Sql input along with Starting_cell. For example, if the template contains headers in A1, configure Starting_cell as "A2" and Include_header_row as false(). The SQL query results should populate the rows below the existing headers.

If you need to populate individual cells using Cell_Keys and Cell_Values, try adding matching text placeholders directly into the Excel template. For example, enter EMPLOYEE_NAME in cell B2, then pass {"EMPLOYEE_NAME"} as Cell_Keys and {"John Smith"} as Cell_Values.

Sample configuration for direct export:

Cell_Keys: Leave empty
Cell_Values: Leave empty
Add_as_new_sheet: false()
Document_name_to_create: "Employee_Report"
Document_save_directory: cons!EMPLOYEE_REPORT_FOLDER
Document_to_overwrite: Leave empty
Excel_base_template: cons!EMPLOYEE_EXCEL_TEMPLATE
Include_header_row: false()
Jndi_Name: "Your configured JNDI name"
Sheet_name: "Sheet1"
Sheet_number: 0
Sheet_number_to_clone: Leave empty
Sql: "SELECT TOP (100) EMPLOYEE_ID, EMPLOYEE_NAME, DEPARTMENT, LOCATION FROM EMPLOYEE ORDER BY EMPLOYEE_ID"
Starting_cell: "A2"

Sample configuration for Cell Based Export:
Cell_Keys: {"EMPLOYEE_ID", "EMPLOYEE_NAME", "DEPARTMENT"}
Cell_Values: {"1001", "John Smith", "IT"}
Add_as_new_sheet: false()
Document_name_to_create: "Employee_Report"
Document_save_directory: cons!EMPLOYEE_REPORT_FOLDER
Document_to_overwrite: Leave empty
Excel_base_template: cons!EMPLOYEE_EXCEL_TEMPLATE
Include_header_row: false()
Jndi_Name: "Your configured JNDI name"
Sheet_name: "Sheet1"
Sheet_number: 0
Sheet_number_to_clone: Leave empty
Sql: Leave empty
Starting_cell: Leave empty

Hope This helps you
