Question

Can we map record type as Process variables? If yes, then how?

Hi Everyone,
I’m doing some hands on practice by myself, where I face some issues while mapping the record type into a PV. As per the documentation it says we can map record type as PV however when I’m searching my record type while configuring the pv, I’m not seeing my record type. Can someone clarify and guide me whether the action which I’m doing is correct or wrong. Please refer to the SS I have attached. 1st one is my record type.

Hm … works like a charm for me.

Which Appian version is this?

I’m currently using Appian community edition which is running on latest 26.6

Thank you for the comment. Now I could see my record type. Haven’t done any configuration mostly due to some server error I was not able to see that.

Hi @ranjanm0003
Conceptually, what you’re trying to do is correct and supported. You can definitely use a record type as the type of a process variable. Just make sure you have at least Viewer permission to the record type.

Hi,
I could see I’m already part of the group.
