Character Limit in LastName of smart service in "Create User With i18n"

Question

Hello Appian Community,

I am using "Create User With i18n" smart service in a process model to create a user. I am getting error 
" The following fields have invalid characters [Last Name: Abc Defghi Jk Lmno Pqrstuv WxyzAbcdefg Ijklm] *Name fields  may only contain letters, numbers, whitespace, and the _ or - special characters and username can only contain letters, numbers, and the following special characters: @ . _ - .  It must not match an existing username regardless of case."

As you can see there is no special character in field "Last Name". and I also checked username is not present in appian. Still it shows this error. 
Does that field has any limit on number of characters ??

when you create an appian user name fields cant contain more than 35 chars, so that's why you might be getting the error. reduce the number of characters it should work

Yes, this is due to limit on number of characters. The maximum number allowed for First Name or Last Name is 35.

You will see appropriate error message when you either try to create a user with the same last name via admin console or by using just the "Create User" smart service.
