Process model to reassign task not working

Hey Guys,

I have a process  model pictured below to reassign tasks. I am using a recipe that I created in a previous app that worked. This process model appears to work flawlessly. The reasignee and task id are updated and stored into their process variables correctly but the task simply isn't reassigned. No errors are thrown and the process model completes without stalling  or failing on the xor gateway or the reassign task node (these are the only two nodes). I have literally nothing to go on since there is no sign of any error. Just that the assignee for the task in the process report simply does not change as it should.
