Are you looking for the set up or the difference?
regarding the difference.
basically the task stays at the same node in the process and a reassgnment or mail or priority increase will happen after time "X"
quote: "If a task or process node is delayed for any reason, configurations in the Escalations tab can automatically take a number of actions to solve the problem."

What is the purpose of setting this under a minute?

But yes: The function second() returns the interval of a second. Multiply that by any number of seconds you want.
