Question

Sending alert mails to different Recipients

Hi ,

I have configured a group to send alert mails in the process model. This has a list of users and for one user the email ID is a Distribution List(DL) and other user has their own email IDs . When an error is occurred in the process model, the alert mail was being send to different recipients.

For Eg: I have received a mail with DL in the To, and one of my colleague received the same error alert with few email IDs instead of DL as below.

Also the emails in the second image are part of the DL but there are other email IDs in DL which are not present in the To.

Can anyone please help me why issue is occurring.

Please configure Node outputs for Invalid email addresses. If any of the emails under DL are invalid, we can notice.

    Hi vaishals,

This Issue is not yet resolved and we are still checking with Appian Support team and below is response we got from as of now.

"Beginning in 22.4, system generated emails begin populating the "To:" field, indicating who they were addressed to. Prior to this change, the recipients were hidden.

This behavior of multiple emails may have occurred previously, but was likely unnoticed. Can you confirm, if all intended users are receiving the email, is this an issue of users being confused about the email list, or is there another business impact?"

I think it is more on the email client configuration.
