Steps to read an email from appian

Hi Everyone,

In my recent interview , Interviewer asked me that how can read the email from the user Inbox?
At that time ,I wont be able to answer correctly.
I want to know the how can we achieve it ?

Only way that I could think of doing that would be to use the an API (i.e. Graph API for M365) combined with Authorization Code Grant - https://docs.appian.com/suite/help/26.9/Oauth_connected_system.html where it is the actual user logging in to their account.

    Yes, you can read emails through an Appian Process Model using the Call Integration smart service.

    Read emails from a user's Outlook inbox - Configure a Microsoft Graph API integration using an OAuth 2.0 Connected System with the appropriate Mail.Read permissions. Use the Call Integration smart service to retrieve emails and process the response.

    Receive incoming emails directly in Appian - Configure a process model to receive emails using Appian's built-in email receiving functionality. This is different from accessing an existing Outlook inbox.

    Alternatively, for automated Outlook mailbox monitoring, you can use the MSGraph Mail Poller plug-in available on AppMarket.
