Hi All,

If you are going to create a New Record type and select 'I want to start from scratch'

then there is only the option to proceed with the Maria Database,
is this correct and your experience too, or do we miss anything?

Yes, Appian only supports MariaDB RDBMS (edit: when creating new data model from scratch), you can select any MariaDB database connected to your environment, in this case if your env had more than one relational database then you'd see a dropdown to choose from

    like this:

But it seems like you only have one, so that database is selected by default and you cannot change it.

I think that any DB that you connect using a Connected System is supported.

Appian supports more DBs than MariaDB. Check the docs: docs.appian.com/.../System_Requirements.html

I meant that it only supports MariaDB when creating new data model from scratch (automatic schema management), my bad I didn't highlighted that in my comment

Sorry, just saw this helper text. It seems like automatic schema management is only supported for MariaDB as of now. But you can connect a synced record to any existing table in other databases.
