Record Type Sync doubt

Yesterday I created a record from a Record Type list action. I can see the record in the database and when I open the Record Type View I see the record as well. My doubt is why I can see the record if the last sync was last month.

As far a I know, when you use a Record Type it is necessary to sync the data. Is there any way you can configure an automatic sync or sometrhing like that?

Thanks.

Yes, we can sync the record Type automatically each day at the specified time. Go to "sync options." There we can configure it.
And if you add data directly into the record type, the data will save in the DB as well as in the record type; there is no point in syncing the record type again to get the data.

Then, which is the reason to sync if you can get de data without anyway?

Synced records enable a few features. More details here: docs.appian.com/.../about-data-sync.html
