KB-1246 Users are unable to upload large files into Appian configured with IIS as a web server

Symptoms

When using Appian configured with IIS as a web server, users are unable to upload large files.

Cause

There is a file size limit on IIS.

Action

1. Open IIS Manager.
2. Select the website to configure. Note: Make sure to be in Features View and not Content View.
3. Select Requests Filtering.
4. From the Actions pane on the right panel, click the Edit Feature Settings... link.
5. In the Request Limits section, enter an appropriate maximum allowed content length (in bytes) and then click the OK button.
6. Restart IIS.
