KB-1360 Process Model locks do not release in Firefox upon window close

Symptoms

When a user closes the Process Modeler in Firefox, other users are unable to edit the process model without breaking the original user's lock.

Cause

This issue has been reported to the Appian product team. The reference number for this issue is AN-80043.

Action

Two workarounds are available to address this issue: 

a) Use other supported browsers (IE11 or Chrome) when editing process models.

b) Release the lock by closing the tab as opposed to the entire window.

This article applies to all version of Appian.
