Browser asking to save details when masking is enabled in text field

Hi Champs,

For one of the requirements, I have to enable the masking for the account number field. It's working fine but when we are navigating from one screen to other, the browser is asking for store the password.

can we disable the feature by somehow?

It seems to be a browser-related issue. If you turn off the "Offer to save passwords" in the password manager, It will be disabled. Thanks!

It is happening because chrome is considering it as a password. You can try playing around with alt-text and inputPurpose if it helps but if they don't, there is nothing you can do about it.
