Hi there,

You can use the saveInto of a button with a!save() function to query the data from the Db and store it in a local variable or an RI.

In general this is possible.  It kinda depends on your particular use case - generally if you're using a "submit" button on a task that means the user will no longer be on that task.  But perhaps you mean any button, in which case you'd use a button specifically set to NOT submit.

Also, i'm not really sure what you meant by this particular phrase, if you could clarify:
