Change description for the Interface Object - properties disabled

I have a Interface object, where I forgot to add a description (see picture below (1)). How do I add this, given that the properties action is disabled (2)?

      This behavior varies from object to object and becomes very irritating sometimes.

      Open the interface and click on gear option on top and then properties.
