Embedding Appian interfaces in WeCom mobile App / whatsApp

Hello,

We have a requirement to embed Appian user interfaces/ approval tasks in a WeCom mobile App.

I referred to Appian's documentation on embedded interfaces on https://docs.appian.com/suite/help/21.4/Embedded_Interfaces.html

It details how to embed Appian interfaces in web pages outside of Appian but could not find any details on embedding Appian content in external mobile App.

So is it possible to embed Appian interfaces in a mobile App like WeCom (similar to whatsapp)?

Any pointers would be helpful

    Hi there,

    I don't think there is a direct way to do it. The possible solution could be to build a webpage, embed the Appian interface in it, and then open that webpage in a mobile app using web view. This is not a good approach anyway. And because you want to do it in a specific application, this will not work. 

    Let's see if the other members have something in their minds.

    I think it is easier to create some APIs in Appian and expose the data and processes to the app.

    We already proposed exposing Appian data to WeCom but they are looking to view Appian screens from within WeCom App.
