Tooltip Character Limit

Hi,

Is there any way to increase tooltip character limit. As of now I can see it is restricted to 200, is there any way to increase it?

AFAIK, It cannot be done. Why would you want to display such huge text on tooltip anyway? what is the requirement?

Ok. Client wants to show a message on hover over rich text icon that is why going with tooltip approach.

The tooltip character limit depends on the element you are using.
for a!Textfield its 500

But konduru is right. This should not be a huge paragraph. its a quick elaboration of this UI element.

    I think for rich text tooltip it doesn't allow to enter more than 200 characters. No not 200 words, characters are fine.

    Feature request: tooltip / caption fields should allow slightly more text, and allow linebreaks (at the very, very least).  I'd PREFER if they accepted certain rich text formatting.  It seems like it wouldn't be hard to implement, and would have LOTS of handy uses.
