I have used validation while creating a new entry in the grid which shows a message in case of duplicacy in entered field. But when I use the same validation in the update related action , it shows the duplicacy message  as soon as we click on update, even before actually updating it. How to resolve this? I want validation to occur when i enter the data, not when I it automatically loads the data

I am trying to create nested CDT . As part of that one of the CDT needs to be created multiple times. I've been experiencing this since a couple hours. every time i submit a user input task in one process model it throws this error even though the  process model  that is giving me this error hasn't  been  modified since yesterday   and everything was working fine.

Hi, I have a readonly grid and loading the data using RecordType.  When select any row selected, I am storing into a local variable of specific type. When I try to load the value of firstname like below, it was not loading any thing into the textfield. Can someone advise what went wrong.

Hi Experts, Looking forward for your help. We have created a process model where we are running two process flows simultaneously using "AND" Gateway and we want our last node to be executed only once. But the problem we are facing here is that the last node is executing twice due to the "AND" Gateway. Is there any alternative solution so that the last node will be executed only once along with the "AND" Gateway? Thanks

Hello, I have a record type with n number of values. The serial number is also saved. For eg, there is an editable grid. with the serial number as 1,2,3,4. Now i can delete any row and hence the serial number should get updated.   How to do this in saveinto of that delete button? I tried using foreach, but im doing some syntax error. HI , I have a jira integration requirement and need to call jira from appian  to create epic,story and read few data from jira. To handle integration errors and maintaining each jira int call before and after maintaining the logging in DB. Instead of having  the error handling and logging in each of every process model , thinking to have a common routing process based on dynamic parameter  it should that process  and  since error handling and logging db and email notifications are in common process no need to have in sub process alone. with this redundant code is reduced and can be used for any other workflow later since it is a common component. what is the best approach for this  Thanks Soujanya

Hello, I'm working right now on increase the performance of my project and I'm been searching what could I do, in the academy the suggestions are, to replace subprocess for Startprocess etc. Well, I have a few question that I could testing but i want to hear if anyone has this answers. 1: in a process model, if I put 3 script task with diferent action, does anyone knows if its better to put all in 1 script or is the same?  2: which is faster, put multiple nodes of smart service to Write no DSE or put 1 of Write to multipleDatastore? 3: I have seen multiple flows that do not need to wait for the previous node, is it viable to use the "AND" GATEWAY to execute multiple nodes at the same time and this shorten the time or has that affect the performance of the process?

I created a new Schema/Database in our cloud database. . However, when I try to connect to the database in my new application (Data Store), it does not show up.

I've often had the request from clients for task notification customization: - Send to a mailbox not necessarily tied to an Appian user (they are using a shared mailbox or the user has not yet been created in Appian) - Send custom template The workaround I've been using is a little convoluted where I start a sub process on a timer before the task is initiated, it queries a task report to go and get the Task ID to be able to construct the task URL to put in the email. Would be nice if we could just customize this directly on the task itself without resorting to the subprocess/timer/task report approach.

Hello everyone, I am using the add row dynamic link in the editable grid interface for the child interface. I have field as story points for the parent interface and also have story point for child interface. Lets say I have story points 5 for the parents interface. Is there any way to automatically pop up another row without clicking the add row dynamic link when the child interface story point is not equal to 5. Lets say parent interface story point is 5. So if I put 2 as story point for field in child interface another row will pop up without clicking the add row dynamic link.

Hi there, right now in Appian what I know is that if we need to go to certain record, we have to keep clicking ">" until we get there.  Could anyone let me know how to implement the page drop down, so we can directly get to the record by choosing the page?   Regards, Lin
