Query Regarding Certification

I have active L1 certification under old certification flow and now planning to appear for the next level.

So as per the new ones, can I appear for Senior Developer directly or I need to go for Associate Developer certification?

Please see this link community.appian.com/.../faqs

Individuals who hold an ACTIVE A-Score Level 2 or 3 will not be required to start at the Certified Associate level.

  1. A-Score Level 2 holders can:
    1. Pass the Certified Senior Developer exam to earn Certified Senior Developer status; or
    2. Pass the Certified Lead Developer exam to earn Certified Lead Developer status.
  2. A-Score Level 3 holders can pass the Certified Lead Developer exam to earn Certified Lead Developer status.

Yes, I did read this part but it still left me confused regarding ACTIVE A-Score Level 1 as it does not mention anything about L1 holders.

I think if we have L1 then we should be eligible for the next equivalent exam i.e. senior developer. But I wanted a confirmation before appearing for it.

I have already sent mail to training@appian.com but have not received any reply.

Hi.  What we mean is holding an Active A-Score Level 1 credential.  I believe that is what you mean by L1.  But you can determine by going to your profile on Community and see if there is a badge in the upper right hand corner that says Appain A-Score Level 1.  If you have add'l questions please email certification@appian.com
