Hi All, I have setup the integration object using https://docs.appian.com/suite/help/21.2/sharepoint-connected-system.html All the methods I can use and its all working fine but I have a requirement that I must be able to move a document from one folder to another or delete a specific document from one folder.  I got one method to use Execute Write Request but can someone help in what data we need to pass in that to fulfil the requirement? I am trying to call an integration that needs to pass a file from appian through its body.  However, it's not being acceptable, cause As you can see, the connection endpoint is expecting the file parameter to be of type File.  An information: with the url that I am retrieving in appian, I am being able to download the file just by clicking on the link. However apparently the File type on this connection expects another type of string: MultipartFile, Is it by any chance possible that conversion? Thanks

I have an integration which returns the document in binary format and I can convert that to Appian document using the option to Convert Binary response to Appian document. But this API returns JSON body as below while returning error. I want to extract this error details and present it to the users but the integration object is returning null response body when I select the option "Convert Binary response to Appian document" even though API is returning below body. Is there any way to extract this body when API returns error and convert the binary to Appian document in case of successful response ? Hi All, I have a file uploaded to sharepoint with encrypted file name ex: 1234.pdf . I have the original name of the file stored in table and while providing a safelink for download , I need to replace 1234.pdf with original name from table.  Currently safelink downloads the file with default/encrypted name of 1234.pdf . What approach can be taken to have the file downloaded in original name. Please suggest. Appreciate the help . Note: if we download to Appian KC temporary and then rename the file, it will become a 2 step process. I would like to avoid that. Thanks Raj

Hi Everyone, We have a requirement where we use OAUTH2.0: Authorization code grant and once we click on Authorize, A new browser tab opens and an after logging into the external system, an URL comes in the search bar of the newly opened browser tab. Is there an way in appian to read the URL and fetch it into any variables,once authorization is successful. Thanks Rupa

Hi All, we are currently working on the integration where we are sending a document and payload using multi-part form data to another system and we are retrieving the document back on request basis into Appian via Integration object using REST API Calls as we cannot keep the documents in APPIAN.  Document can be any MIME-Type, In this case, we are taking example of .msg file format. when we retrieve the document back from other system, they are attaching boundary data & MIME Type details as shown in the below screenshot. Because of this, .msg file is unable to open after we retrieve the document into Appian and downloaded. Only way is to remove those line items from the document as marked and resaved it. can someone suggest here anyway to ignore the line items in the response and able to open the file. Hi, I'm calling MsGraph API from Appian in a two steps methop, I have to send the content-length from the previous integration as a header information in another call. How can I capture or insert into a variable an http request from an integration? Or are some way to calculate the content-lenght? Regards

We have a requirement to call web API which uses Bearer Token authentication type and it requires client id and secret in the Header. Before calling this API we need to get the access token using oAuth endpoint, this endpoint has authentication type as Basic Auth and it requires same client id and secret in the Header. 1. For OAuth endpoint, we have created a connected system (A) with the Basic Authentication using username and password. - Works fine. 2. Hi All - I've created an integration with Docusign and have configured the Web API to receive a response from Docsign when the document is signed. Docusign responds and successfully kicks off the process, but I can't figure out how to pull the envelopeid and documentid from the message response.  I've got the sample code that converts the http!request.body from json to a processparameter. But I can't figure out how to get the data from there? I've tried converting to process variables and various settings within the Start Trigger panel, but haven't been able to see the message body/data anywhere. Any guidance would be appreciated.

I am attempting to set up an Oauth2.0 client credentials grant authentication for our application web APIs. I believe I have done the configuration correctly but I'm clearly missing something because when I attempt to get an authorization token using postman I am a failed client authentication. Here is the sequence of configurations I have performed in order. 1. I created an Oauth2.0 Client in the Admin console creating a new service account in the process. 2. I copied the client_id, client_secret, and access token url. 3. I created a Web API object. For connectivity testing I'm just using the GET Hello World configuration. I added a path value to the web api and copies the URL. 4. I then added the service account to the admin group which secured the new Web API object. 5. In postman I created a new request. I gave it the copied url. 6. Under authorization I selected Oauth2.0 and under configure new token I included the grant_type, client_id, and client_secret (see below image

Good morning,  I can upload documents and list with the system logged in, but I am having trouble seeing if I can modify the metadata of a document, as I get the following error: The construction of the request is done by Appian and I can't change the one it uses (Path) to the one it tells me (Url). Does anyone know how I can do it or what I am doing wrong? Thank you very much for your help

Hi all,  We need to validate the scope parameter in Web APIs. I've seen in the documentation that with the Appian OAuth 2.0 client the scope parameter must either be blank or omitted entirely: https://docs.appian.com/suite/help/24.1/Web_API_Authentication.html#using-the-oauth-2.0-client-credentials-grant Can we use a third-party OAuth 2.0 client to validate scope parameter? With this authentication method, would the scope be validated internally or would we have to do it at the web API level? Thanks in advance.

Hago clic en "Convertir valores base64 a documentos Appian" y no tengo ningún problema con archivos PDF, TIFF, PNG, TXT, sin embargo no es capaz de traducir y convertir un XLSX, quiero saber si Appian tiene esta restricción. por favor su orientación

Hi everybody, we need to display a "loading" interface (an image or a gif) while we call an integration (through a button, which needs to be the only user interaction) that takes a couple of minutes to complete. We tried using both refresh variables and showWhen logics but neither worked as Appian waited to complete the integration "call" before displaying anything. We also tried using a process model with an AND gate but the user input task node needs to be "attended" so it can't be used without the user interaction. Do you guys have any suggestions?

We have use case where currently we are sharing the document to external system via Appian Web API ( created through existing Appian API document download template ). External system is requesting to share the data as base64 string. We could achieve same via plugin available in App Market  ( [mention:e7b082a6b98049899e3541011e57f30e:f7d226abd59f475c9d224a79e3f0ec07] ). I wanted to confirm what are the advantages and disadvantages of sharing document via base64 string over existing approach. If anyone used base64 string encoded method to share document, can you share the advantages, and disadvantages over the approach.
