Hey all. I have a validation in which the name of the uploaded attachment can't have more than 100 characters. I need that Appian automatically cut the name to maximum 100 characters. I was trying to make an expression rule; I made an index to find the character number 101, I wanted to insert a "," to split the text and then remove it... but I can't because the insert function doesn't accept text for the index parameter. Ideas? Example value: nombredocumentosnombredocumentosnombredocumentosnombredocumentosnombredocumentosnombredocumentosnombredocumentos

I have a requirement where User wants to extract any Pdf value whose format is not fixed. Means invoice or any other Pdf will be different ?. if yes then  how can we build dynamic CDT value in IDP for document extraction of different extracted PDF.

I Have line items grid in the pdf document that continues from first page to second, but IDP is extracting only from first page, the second page line items are not getting extracted. What should be done in order to get this right?

Hello! This question arose from working through the course "Tutorial: Automate Windows Applications (RPA)", which involves copying and pasting text between Calculator and Notepad.  Unfortunately the instructions assume an older version of Calculator, since mine doesn't have an Edit menu. My workaround is to have the robotic task right-click into the display screen in order to be able to grab the text. Since RPA is new to me, I am currently having to brute-force the coordinates of where the mouse should go to click. I downloaded Mouse Point Viewer and got the following values: Relative (Calculator) Coords: X=130, Y=132 Screen Coords: X=324, Y=179 However, in the Move Mouse function in the task, after much trial and error, it finally worked after I configured the location to (800, 800). Can anyone explain where (800, 800) comes from?

Hi , I have list of arrays coming from foreach, now i want unique elements for the list of arrays. for example localvariables( local!arrays:foreach( items:{5,6,7}, expresssion:enumerate(fv!item)+1 ) local!arrays ). form this output,  i want unique elements from the list of arrays. can anyone help me in this? intersection is working only for separate arrays stored in each local variable but not for arrays executed in foreach.

From the above pic, in the local variables bankruptcy there will be constant 4 values and in the local variable creditPublicRecord there will be some values can be null or more than 1 value. Here we have to compare the creditPublicRecord values with the bankruptcy values and check whether the the creditPublicRecord values matches the bankruptcy values and need to return the count. Hi, Requirement: Operations would like to be prompted when any robot resource is offline, so that recovery action can take place to put the robot back online. Possible solutions: 1. In the first instance this may be a Operations  interface within appian which looks like the RPA resource page. Future would be to prompt Operations that action is required by raising a task or send an email.  Is there a way to capture the information shown on the RPA Resources page specifically the resource name and status? 2. have a robot process regularly scheduled as a "ping" to check a resource is online and report the results of the robot process and assume if robot process failed then prompt Operations. Hi, community. I want to use "Appian IDP" with position specification. for example. I want to get the value of each colored part in the figure below.(This format is fixed and does not change.) This color "Area ■" is "Name Area". I want to get it like {name:"Nihon Taro"} I want to associate like "Area ■"="Name",  "Area ■"="Post Code" and  "Area ■"="Address".  if "Appian IDP" can use with position specification, it is as good as solved. Can't you do something like that with an IDP? Please tell me how if you know. Regards!

Hi , I have a list of dictionaries with date ranges(refer below screenshot) i need validation that if i give a date and if the given date is overlapped with any of the dates(start and end date) i should get a validation.  for example; start date : 05/10/2023 end date : 05/15/2023 i'm comapring the given date in this date range for each dictionary for that it is working fine but if i select date between 05/09/2023 and 05/16/2023 i should get validation that is not working,and there are many dictionaries like this.  Cany anyone help me how to do this?
