Windows server allowing 5 concurrent user session logins. Can we have different Appian RPA processes running in different sessions at the same time? Which means installing the agent for each user specific session and connecting it with console and resource. 

I'm trying to figure out how I would configure an expression rule to perform a rolling sum by userId. For a given person, calculate how many hours they worked for a rolling 7 days, and if they have exceeded 10 hours then return true. Otherwise, false. Hi All, FYI, This is my first POC to develop the bot tasks in the Appian RPA. And I have other experiences in the RPA tools also Appian BPM.  I need to know some details about to pick the particular element via windows automation or browser automation. Questions: How to identify the element via windows application(example:Calculator) or web application? I tried via recording and save it. But after open the calculator application, click 8 in the calculator getting element not found exception If we are not using recording to do each node of process there is any ways in the custom. Like one click drag and used in middle of process in this how to pick the particular element as like as recording. Thanks, Pradeep Sridharan

Hi Champ, I need to upload a file from my local system and process the same in Appian. For the time being I am hardcoding my local system folder dierctory where I am picking my file ; but in real time that will by dynamic for instance user download file directory. Is there any way which is check the user download file location and pull it from there instead of hardcoding it. For giving more context. suppose when I am saving a file in PDF, it ask me for the download location which by dafault select it from the user download location. I want to get that location in RPA task from the user download loaction which is saved in their environment variable or somewhere else. Regards, Shyam

Hi, Appian licensing model state that Appian RPA cost is included in base price, but in all the documentation it states that 'This content applies solely to Appian RPA, which must be purchased separately from the Appian base platform.' What does this mean? Regards, Neha

I don't see any information in the documentation about how to train the AI Document Extraction process.  I thought that invoices were already trained, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Additionally how would we train a new document class, like insurance claims for example. I see doc'm about how to setup the fields, but how do we train for locate/extraction rules?   Do we just run a bunch of docs thru manual reconcile?  Is there a way to clean out bad documents/trainings? How do we get more insight into what's going on behind the scenes with extraction? Thanks in advance!

Hi Appian folks, We have a use case in Appian RPA where I am taking a small part from an image. I am using "Locate Image" module, changed the Search parameter to "Screen Region". But I am getting the error that says "Unable to find image within the given timeout interval". I have added the image in Support files as well. Does anyone know how to resolve this? Config:

Hi Members,I am trying to calculate the working hours between two different time using calworkhours function.It is giving perfect result for all the days except on Fridays. I have check my calendar setting as well . Friday's setting is same as other working days.I have pasted the Screenshot of Calendar and Expression along with it's result. Hey all. I have a validation in which the name of the uploaded attachment can't have more than 100 characters. I need that Appian automatically cut the name to maximum 100 characters. I was trying to make an expression rule; I made an index to find the character number 101, I wanted to insert a "," to split the text and then remove it... but I can't because the insert function doesn't accept text for the index parameter.
