Process Upgrade and Handling Failed Requests

Dear Appian Community,

I'm seeking clarification on process upgrades in Appian and how to address failed requests in production. I've been unable to locate a specific plugin for process upgrades.

Currently, I have numerous requests in production that are failing due to exceptions. I need to update the process for these old instances to resolve the issue.

Could you please advise on the following:

  1. Is process upgrade functionality still available in Appian?

  2. If so, how can I perform a process upgrade?

  3. How can I effectively handle failed requests in production and update the process for existing instances?

Your insights and guidance would be greatly appreciated.

If you follow the best practice of building short running processes, you will not get into such a situation.

Handling failed instances very much depends on the root cause.
