How I remove a view from my record? I cant seem to find this anywhere. Something is wrong about it and I cant even find the "Generate Interface". Thanks

Dear Team, Interface error : document does not exist or deleted error appearing. We have document id with us , todocument(docid) is giving us document name , but the same same documentid when we are passing to document() it is throwing the same error. We are also not able to search document in objects using doc id. Any idea ?

Hi all, I am using a view as the data source for an entity-backed record.  I have a field "Student Full Name" in the view, which I am getting by concatenating "Student First Name" and "Candidate Last Name" using the function concat("studLastNm", ", ", "studFirstNm"). So, for example, in the view and record the student full name will be displayed as "Brewer, Allan".  There are no null or empty values in "Student Last Name".  My CDT for view has primary key.  When I sort the view for "Student Full Name" in the cloud database, the values are getting sorted properly.  But the same in the record gives the following error: The alias [[field=STUDENT_FULL_NM, ascending=true]] cannot be used because it contains illegal characters. Hi All, We have entity backend records based out of DB view and using a!recordData in the grid to display the record list When a user uses a record search bar to search a keyword, we are getting errors ""An error occurred while retrieving the data for "Record Name". Details: unexpected error executing query" . Looking at the logs, we figured out keyword searches against all columns defined view it impacts query execution time. This issue occurred recently as the volume of data increased.   Is there any way to customize or pass a minimum number of the query filter in the record on the search bar? Currently, we are also working on the DB view optimization.

I have a synced record with a database table. I can successfully write new data to the table using the "import excel to database" within a process model. Unfortunately, after uploading new data the synced record is not updating. If I manually sync the record it will update correctly. How do I ensure the data is synced when I upload new data? According to Appian Documentation the record is suppose to automatically sync: "To keep your synced data up-to-date with the source, an immediate sync occurs whenever Appian writes to the source of your data." https://docs.appian.com/suite/help/21.2/Records_Monitoring_Details.html Additionally, I've confirmed that Sync is enabled:  Any thoughts or suggestions is appreciated.  Thanks!

Hi, I would have a question about a refresh aspect. I have an interface (let's call it "Form A") displaying many sub interfaces depending on many conditions. In one of theses sub-interfaces, there is a RecordType grid and for each line I've set a RecordAction (called "Edit row") that triggers a process. (The user has to make few clicks on different components to see that grid)  When the user clicks on this row RecordAction, it triggers the process which displays a start form Interface (let's call it "Form B"). This "Form B" interface has 2 buttons "Cancel" and "Save" (I've set submit = true for each one). When the user clicks on the Cancel button, the process simply goes to the end node (XOR step decision is used). If the user clicks on Save, the process store data in DB and end the node. My question is :  When I click on the cancel button of "Form B", how may I do, to havin

Hello All, I have added readable grid into an interface and linked the record to this interface which will provide me all the fields of the record. In the record user filter option available part of the a!gridfield. In the record I have enabled set showSearchBox to true which provides us with a global search option. But I have a requirement to add filter for text field for example, Iike CustomerName The version I'm using is 21.2, any alternative way to achieve this? Thanks & Regards Girish

Hi all, I have created a entity-based record type which is based on a view.  I have created a user filter in the record based on a!recordfilterlist function. The user filter does not give correct result.  The field on which I am using the filter has null values in the view.  Can someone help me to fix this ussue? Thanks in advance.

While creating record type, why we create additional views except summary view in record views?

Hello Everyone, I am using below pagingInfo , gridcolumn , and pagingSaveInto in my interface where Approval Date is of datetime type local!pagingInfo: a!pagingInfo( startIndex:1, batchSize: -1, sort: a!sortInfo(field: "APPORVAL_DATE") gridColumn( label: "Approved On", sortField: "APPORVAL_DATE", value: fv!row.APPORVAL_DATE ) pagingSaveInto: local!pagingInfo  If approval date is between 7/1/2021 and 7/12/2021 then  Expected result to be sorted by Date ie. 7/12, 7/11, 7/10, 7/9, 7/8, 7/7 and so on but sorting is not applied to the grid and resulting data is random sequence like 7/11 7/12 7/1 7/2 and so on. I have a record for cases I have been creating in my app.On record grid when I click on caseIds a process model is invoked and flow is taken further.I want to create for url for different records based on user need. For general records with summary view I am aware of the steps.How do I create for this scenario where I dont have summary view/related actions;just record grid with each id invoking new process. Hi All, Does anyone knows how to add custom record field in new record 21.2 with below scenario? Custom field need to add on single DueDate record field.  1. Groups based on Date difference does not work here since it required to two date fields.(Start and End date) 2. Own expression having limited functions to use(Why there is limitation on using functions while creating custom record field? Will it be changed in next upgrade?) Requirement : Team we have an admin application which performs some write to DB , currently cdt is hardcoded as scope is limited to some apps. Now we want to make it dynamic like after selecting datastore it should populate all the CDT associated with it or a custom picker to just search from all the CDT of system. Any idea?

Hello !  I am fetching records from an external RDBS (Oracle), making some calculations in an expression rule in Appian, running those records to compare if already present in the local Appian tables, if yes, updates the local record with any changes else inserts a new record altogether. Pretty straightforward. This works as expected.  I am noticing on monitoring the data fetched that there are records retrieved but not inserted into the database. Hello, I need to update the data of multiple rows. For example, there are multiple records with requested status and I want to change them into submitted. There is an editable grid from where the status is changed which is used by Admin. The record view is used by the user. What I think:  To make something when admin clicks on submit the status value update the record with the updated status automatically. Note: Value of status is already submitted, but it hasn't changed the record from requested to submitted in the record. I do not have access to Database. I am new to Appian. If you find anything missing kindly reply. Thanks
