Hi community, How we can database table for application in appian version 24.3 as previously we get the cloud database .Now there is no cloud database please help us on this
I have 2 record types, totally Sync, with a relationship One Event to Many Instructions, properly related, as I have a custom record field in Event about a sumatory of an Instructions field which is correctly working... But then, when I query the Events,I retrieve nothing using: local!instructions: local!events[recordType!Event.relationships.instruction]. So I've tried to fill the relatedRecordData field in the query of events but it keeps retrieving nothing, null data. local!events: a!queryRecordType(... relatedRecordData: a!relatedRecordData( relationship: recordType!Event.relationships.instruction ), ... ), local!instructions: local!events[recordType!Event.relationships.instruction.idInstruction], How can this be? Maybe Security, how? Is it just not the proper way to retrieve its data?Thanks in advance
Hello, a!localVariables( local!number: todecimal(370737340900000.00), /* Replace this with your input number */ local!chunkSize: 7, /* Define chunk size (7 digits) */ local!divisor: 10 ^ local!chunkSize, local!chunks: {}, /* List to store chunks */ local!x:a!forEach( items: enumerate(ceiling(log(local!number)/log(local!divisor)) + 1), /* Arbitrarily large number to iterate through */ expression:{ local!iteration:enumerate(ceiling(log(local!number)/log(local!divisor)) + 1), local!chunk: mod(local!number, local!divisor), /* Get last 7 digits */ local!number: round(local!number / local!divisor, 0) } ), /* Reverse the chunks list to maintain the correct order */ reverse(local!chunks)) I want to achieve try to split the big decimal into 7 digit numbers, I want the result in the "local!x" {8765431, 7373409, 370} I hope the question is clear, let me know how to achieve this.

Thank you very much for your continued support.I would like to display only completed instances in the process report.I checked "Completed" in the report filter settings and saved it. However, I'm experiencing an issue where the process instances displayed include ones with a status of "Active", or only the status "Active" is displayed.Does anyone know the cause of the problem or have any hints on how to solve it?I would appreciate your help.Thank you in advance.
In a Process Model I have added an Execute Stored Procedure and configured everything very well, in Data in the data source I put the constant with the connected system, in the name of the procedure I put the correct one and I configure the 2 input variables of the procedure, save and it is published fine and when it is executed it returns the error: ERROR: insert_in_din_tbl_tests(character varying, integer) is a procedure Hint: To call a procedure, use CALL. Position: 15, I understand that by default the Execute Stored Procedure executes with CALL without any prior configuration, but rather it executes it by default, so I don't understand how to arrange my execution.

Details: Record type is marked as synced, but its data has not yet been synced or its existing synced data has been invalidated. Contact your system administrator. (APNX-1-4198-000) Thanks, Udhaya
Are there any limitations for record actions like how many record actions we can create .
I have asked two developers about the best approach for data management in Appian. One usually uses Datastore Entities and other uses Sync Recordtypes. But, I have seen that there is a third configuration where a RecordType is related to a Datastore Entity (this disable recordtypes relationship). Which best approach is my dilemma. I have heard recordtypes limitations related to database (some datatypes capacity limits) schema, 2 millions rows storage limitation and sync issues. I haven't found documentation about best practices for data management. What do you recommend? Some prefers CDT others Recordtypes.
I am facing some issues with the report in which , Whenever i refresh the page it is showing blank and the error. Please check below screeshot. Is there any way to solve this problem.
I am looking for different options in Appian to connect with Mongo DB. Please share your suggestions / experience.
Hi all, I'm a beginner of Appian. I usually see a "export excel" button in a record type at the upper right corner, but I could not see it on a record type. In the record type, the following error is shown. "Expression evaluation error at function a!gridField_23r3 [line 51]: The field [b4975317-48bc-4a6d-9ade-949dece38b46] does not exist." In record type, I cannot see expression code, but the error show the code line... How do I see the code in a record type? What i want to do is to export a data into excel... any suggestion please... Best regards,
Our tenant is currently on Appian cloud version 24.2 and experiencing a real-time aggregation error on a custom record field. When editing the custom record field in the record type view, clicking the 'TEST' button displays the following error: ava.lang.RuntimeException: tvJavaBridge is null We have tried removing the relationship and re-adding to no avail. Also, testing the rule in an expression also yields the same result (see screenshots below). Any ideas of what we could try to alleviate the issue?
Hello, I have a doubt and I am unsure how to proceed. I have an interface where the individual record rows are displayed in a read only grid where I am using the FK of another table to filter and display only those audits for a specific record. The requirement is to display a different background color in the read only grid of the values in the row based on previous entries. For example FKID Name Temp Approved 1 Tim 20 No 1 Timmy 22 Pending 1 Timmy 22 Yes 1 Timmy 23 Retired Timmy, 22 and pending are highlighted in the second row because they differ from the first entry. Yes is highlighted in the third entry due to being different than pending. 23 and retired are highlighted because they differ from previous also. I have a record query as below and I feel I need to compare the fv!row[currentValue] against the indexed local data somehow but I am not sure how to proceed. a!localVariables( local!data: a!queryRecordType( recordType: 'ADtable',
Hi Champs, I have a grid where I have a column in which I am showing a recordaction component based on some conditions. So that column can show a button(recordAction) or it will be blank. Now I have a requirement where I need to first show the row where I have the column having the button and then the rows where the column is blank. Secondly, I need to again sort the data based on the name . I am not sure whether we have a easy way to do the same? Regards, Ghanashyam
Can we add new columns to User Uploaded excel with columns and data already in it? Note: The added column's data is not unique for all the records
Hello Team, can you help me with this here, please? I have a form (parent record), which relates to more or less 15 different tables (records). Most of these tables have a 1-1 relationship with the parent record and, in about 3 of them, the parent record has a 1-N relationship. Knowing that all these tables are filled in the same form, and everything occurs in the same process. What is the best approach in this case? Thanks
For the following table of records, I need to be able to calculate the total of the highlighted columns, (Bid Amount & Principle Balance) so that I can utilize that information to create a list of metrics listed below the Picture. We would like to be able to access many schemas in Appian when creating a record type from a sql server table. I have the table created on the server that is in or datasource in the admin console but when I got to select the table in the record type I only see tables that exist in the dbo schema
I have a table with a field "name" which is of text type. It follows a fixed pattern and all the entries are very similar. The entries contain text and numerical values, e.g. Practice 1, Practice 2, Practice 3, ..., Practice n where n can be any number. I need to sort it in the ascending order of the numerical suffix. If I sort it as text only I get something like Practice 1, Practice 10, Practice 2, ..., Practice 9 assuming there are only 10 Practices. However, it has to be sorted as Practice 1, ..., Practice 9, Practice 10 as per my requirement. How can I achieve this?I have attached a picture of my code in the query editor below. I tried casting name to integer using the tointeger() function like below but it gave me an error saying we can't cast on a field.sort: { a!sortInfo( field: tointeger(record.name), ascending: true ) }
Hi All, We are getting the following error as startindex cannot be greater than totalCount. Start index was 31 and totalcount was 0. We are using process report query for querying the data and for paginginfo, we are using fv!paginginfo. We are getting the above error only in prod and we are being notified via the error mail as part of the new appian release. No user has reported this issue. We are not able to understand why this error is occuring. One observation was when errors are triggered, startindex is having 11, 21,31,51 etc. Any suggestions will be helpful
