Hello, Do we have any templates to gather the business requirements for Appian solution ?

Hi, With our client, we could reproduce a curious problem with mobile phones (Android and iOS) : In an Interface we have a parent dropdown (category) that is used to filter a children dropdown.Initially the children list contains all the items because the selection of the category is on -Select- (null). 1.1/ Nominal case: - The first time we select a specific category (let's say -1-), we meet an issue : the children list contains all the items (filter does not work)- Then we select another category (-2-) : all works fine, the children list is well filtered- Then we select again the previous category  -1- : all works fine, the children list is well filtered (18 items with scrollbars) After this, the children is always well filtered (whatever the category selected). If we close the Interface then re-open it, we can reproduce the issue. 1.2/ Alternative case: If we make a test with a category filter that retreives few children items (less than 10, ie : withou

Hello Appian Engineering, Like to suggest : Scenario : When a developer working on any object rules , It could be UI or expression or model Appian always had version from past 12plus years Which is good As we progress it will be good to have save and commit 1. Save basically a developer works whole day in dev and keep saving not to lose his work but that does not mean it’s working and ready for others to use 2. Commit when developer decides it’s ready for checkin and can be used in site other he needs to commit and mandatory to write comments May be a ticket that developer is working against or an enhancement for targeting a particular release Many times we see 100s of versions but more than 75% are just saves of a line change and dev testing how it looks etc and after ten saves developer decides good for real change and closes that piece of work Just compare how eclipse or vscode git integration works Even further shelving concept from Microsoft Having been 12yrs with appi

Hi Team, we got one requirement where the objects have multiple parent child relationship so we created one table and added one column called parentId and it is used to map all the child objects assigned to it. Now we created one record and the requirement is to add a column called child objects and will provide a rich Text Icon with link in that column and on the click of that click we have to filter the data mapped to that parent and we need to capture the sequence of user clicks (Since the parent has Childs and sub Childs). Can someone help me on how to implement this requirement. Thanks in Advance

here i have add A and B and show it in A+B row....[A+B row is read only] these rows am storing in value_txt field  shown in below so i have add the value_txt data where extensionRefId=4 and 12 and show the value in that integer field which refid=14 i had tried to write like index(fv!item.value_txt, wherecontains(4,fv!item.extensionRedId),{}) but this did not work can anyone help me with this 

Hi Everyone, I have a requirement to combine all excels having each sheet into a single file which contains multiple sheets together. I assume the combine excel sheet plugin will work but I am not getting the output document stored in the folder. Can you please suggest how to use combine excel sheet plugin? Thanks in Advance!!!

We have a business need to create folders to house documents.We plan to do this via a Process Model. In the future, we would need access these folders in order to save documents to them, and to retrieve documents from them. One way to do folder access we saw was to store the Folder ID when generating the folder, and storing that for future folder access. Is there another way to do this? Such as accessing folders via folder names?

I am trying to install Appian but I am encountering an error on starting the application server. logs: [View:/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/12/tomcatStdOutLog.txt:320:240] also tried this https://community.appian.com/support/w/kb/1138/kb-1718-tomcat-fails-to-deploy-appian-or-start-all-services-successfully but the error still exists.

Existing Code: Using richtextdisplayfield to show related actions on UI/Summary(customized)  New Code: We are planning to create Sync Records and all these links are enabled under Related Actions. Now i dont them to be displayed as dialog box buttons or dont want them under "Related Actions" page. Instead the look of the UI should look like the existing one like above. How can we customize this using modern records/records--> not sure how to make use of a!recordActionField() if it helps. Any suggestions or inputs helpful here!! Thanks in advance

Hello, we're attempting to use the "Word Doc from Template" Smart Service on a Merged word document, but the smart service only replaces the placeholder from the first document that was merged. For example if we have 3 docs with placeholders, merge them, then run the Word Doc from Template Smart Service, the output document will only have replaced the placeholders that were contained within the content or the first document. We've checked all of the formatting of the placeholders in the XML and everything looks correct. The issues aren't caused by what's outlined in this KB document. Hi Team, after update to 22.3 all our create user smart services with i18n are failing with  below error in UI as it is chained activity  An error occurred while executing a save: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: com.appiancorp.suiteapi.personalization.UserValidationUtils.isValidNameLength(Ljava/lang/String;I)Z Is anybody found the route cause ? even the node is failing with below error . We intend to incorporate Appian into our existing application (development) landscape. Now questions pop up like what do we do with it and what don't we do in the application development area.In terms of application development now more focused on .Net/C# and a few apps on the MS power platform. Adding Appian means additional exploitation costs, investment in knowledge and employees. In terms of application development, should we now focus entirely on Appian and phase out the rest?
