I am using the Import Excel to Database plugin along with a Connected System to download Excel files from a client’s Google Drive. Here is the behavior I am observing: When the Excel file is created using Microsoft Excel, the file is downloaded successfully via the Connected System, and the plugin works as expected. All the data present in the Excel file is imported correctly. However, when the Excel file is created in Google Sheets, or when an existing Excel file is opened/edited and saved using Google Sheets, the file is still downloaded successfully, and I can see the complete data in the file. But in this case, the Import Excel to Database plugin treats the file as null and does not return any data. In both cases, the file extension is .xlsx. Is this a known limitation of the Import Excel to Database plugin when handling .xlsx files generated or modified by Google Sheets? If so, is there any workaround or recommended approach to handle Excel files comi

I’m now able to create, update, read, and delete applications and their objects using natural language through Claude.I would like to understand how these Dev MCP interactions are audited in the Appian environment.Currently, I can see that the Design Object Logs capture object creations and modifications performed through MCP, along with manual changes made through the Appian Designer.System Logs --> audit/  --> design_objects.csvIs there a separate log or audit mechanism specifically for tracking Dev MCP interactions? If so, could someone please point me to where I can access or configure these logs?Thanks in advance for your help!

Need to create a UI, where I want to have 1 column for editable fields and other column shall have a document (pdf). When user is filling the fields in 1st column. Then field in the document on 2nd column gets highlighted. Planning to use reconcileDocumentViewer component (not using any AI feature at the moment). Can anyone help how and what to pass in the boundingboxes parameter or if this is even feasible.

Hi All,I am using the ganttChart component plugin (v1.0.0 by Low Code Minds) and facing an issue with tasksSaveInto it does not fire when a user drags a task bar on the chart.What I am trying to achieve:When a user drags a task bar to a new date range on the Gantt chart, I want the updated start/end dates to be saved back to the database and reflected in the grid.What I have done:1. Added tasksSaveInto to the ganttChart component (confirmed via Appian IDE tooltip that tasksSaveInto is a valid parameter)2. Set isDisabled: false on every task in the tasks array3. Set disabled: false on the ganttChart component itself4. Hi everyone,I am currently using the Excel Tools Plugin (v2.8.2) and encountering unpredictable loading issues caused by the length of incoming excel cell values.Our Setup & Scenario:Data Volume: 140 columns and approximately 10,000 rows. Database: Staging table columns are already configured with large text lengths. Process Flow: Convert Excel to CSV using the "Excel to CSV" smart service (Processes successfully). Import CSV to Database using the "Import CSV to Database" smart service. The Issue:During step 2, the process fails with the error message: "Error executing SQL". Upon investigation, we found the root cause is hidden trailing whitespace. Using Appian 24.1.  I have created a custom plugin.Let’s call the plug com.appiancorp.plugins.RaysClass.If I use log.error(“RAYS ERROR”), the entries are written to the tomcat log file.If I use log.debug(“RAYS DEBUG”) statements, those entries are NOT written.I have tried adding log4j.logger.com.appiancorp.plugins.RaysClass=DEBUG to the bottom of the appian_log4j.properties file.  Still no debug statements.If I add log4j.logger.com.appian=DEBUG, as soon as I save the file, I get a bunch of debug statements in the log.I still don’t see “RAYS DEBUG” in the log file.What must I do to write debug statements from a custom plugin to the tomcat log file?

My use case is I have a large PDF that is essentially a bunch of smaller PDFs stitched together. Each smaller PDF has a dynamic number of pages, and they’re split by a separator page, so a human can tell when an individual document starts. I know there’s a PDF Tools plug in, but it doesn’t seem like there’s functionality to split by a separator page or something similar - it’s all by a specified page range or by number of pages in a document. The best thing I can think of right now is to use AI or something to find out where the separator pages are, the page ranges of the individual documents are, and loop through the large document until the end, but that sounds like it might be complicated and I’m wondering if there’s a simpler solution? Thank you in advance!

Hi All, I have to export 51 columns using export data store entity to excel. I have added 2 nodes and given 50 entities in first node and 1 entity in second node of selection. I gave starting cell also (first node A1 and second AX1)Same document I want to update in second node but when it runs it makes first 50 columns (which was added by first node ) blank. Can we use this smart service any how to export more coulmns than 50 or is there any other smart service available ?

Gridplus is to a very large degree doing exactly what we needed in one of our apps, great stuff.  However, business users are getting picky now as it seems like the plug-in might not be able to refresh paging counts at the bottom of the control if filtering down the data to 0 records returned.  Any record or records present returned by the query rule listed in the configuration will update the paging counts.  I didn’t see this in known bugs, but wondering if anyone has tricked a refresh by adding a ‘do nothing’ row in the case the filtering is down to 0 records, or if someone may have another idea.

We have an application where we update user details using the Update User Profile smart service.There are around 1,000 users in the application, but for some users, the process model fails while updating their profile with the error: “The selected supervisor is invalid.”I checked those users and found that they don’t have any supervisor assigned in the admin console.During my investigation, I opened the failed process instance using Edit Process View and checked the error node. I noticed that the Supervisor field has a value at the instance level. However, when I opened the actual process model, there is no value configured for the Supervisor field—it is not hardcoded anywhere in the process model.I have checked the process model and related configurations, but I’m still unable to figure out where this Supervisor value is coming from.Has anyone faced a similar issue in Appian or have any idea wha

Hi guys, I used ADT Plugin to produce report document using "Docx from dynamic template" , I got the images in the doc but the square bracket from bookmark is explicitly visible when I gave logo image(circular image). Is there any way to remove the square brackets? This is the output image. Thanks in Advance

I'm using the MS Word 2007 Doc from Template in that smart service, but when the document is uploaded, it still replaces a few value tags even though the replacement values are already present.
