I want to assign a task to another user, and Appian sends an email to notify them. I'd like to configure the email to add a specific body. Do you know if this is possible? As far as I know, it's not, so I've unchecked the "Notify task assignees of the new task via email and mobile push notifications, if applicable" option and then added a smart email sending service. I'd like to do this in the same user input task. Thanks in advance.

Hi, When we try to open/access any Process Models using the Appian designer, we are getting an error message like below. Any advises please. Hiii, I want to add the Total Cost . It show the data in below format. I am using sum function to add the data but it is not working. I am using appian version 24.4 and made a user filter for a record that is populated by a lookup table. I deleted a couple of rows from the table because they were unwanted, but they still show up in the filter. If I look at the table in the db or the record for the lookup table, both show that the entries are missing, but no matter what I do, the deleted rows show up in the dropdown.  This is the table: This is what the dropdown shows: "In draft" shouldn't be there and there is a duplicate which was removed, but both remain. I saw a similar post Here but I am not sure it's the same bug or not and the post seems to suggest that this issue was solved with version 24.1. Any help would be appreciated

Hello All, I have a 2 column layout. in left section I have a tree with multiple node like shown in below. Category1 Interface1 Interface2 Category2 Interface3 Interface4 Interface5 In right section I have to display the selected node's interface. For example if "Interface1" node is clicked then it should call an expression rule which returns the interface name to be loaded for that node. Now as expression rule returns string value, I am not able to render that interface in right section. Please note  - Each node has associated interface and entire list is maintained in records. On tree node click that expression rule finds the interface name for selected node. Kindly help if there is any other way to achieve this? Thanks in Advance.

We have a column in the Appian database table with data type as 'long text'. We want to facilitate storing and retrieving string around 8000 characters size in this table column. This will be a master data and will not be fetched in interfaces. (Also it may not always be 8000 in string length) But we will fetch this column in the expression rule for some evaluation and running rules. We are noticing that this column with long text is getting truncated in the expression rule when we retrieving the data. Our Record Type does not show any option to select "Extra Long Text" when creating a Record Type from this database table. Hi all, I am using the function a!startProcess() to trigger a process model from my interface. Is it possible to use the onerror parameter to show a custom message on the screen when the process fails to start or breaks for some reason. If it is possible can you please guide me how to achieve it ?

I have(had) an issue with a Selectable Editable Grid and I don't know if this is a bug or not. BUSINESS USE CASE I actually have two grids.  The Use Case here is to have the user assign a speaker to a parish for a parish event. One grid shows unassigned approved speakers and the other shows parishes that do not have a speaker.  There are two local variables that are loaded with this data; speakerEvents and parishEvents.  The user selects the Speaker, then selects the Parish before submitting the data. I have two or more dropdown component and I hope that these dropdown components can share one choice list. For example I have a list like {choice 1, choice 2, choice 3, choice 4,...} In dropdown 1 the choice list should be  {choice 1, choice 2, choice 3, choice 4,...}, when I choose choice 1 in this dropdown, the choice list of other dropdown should be  {choice 2, choice 3, choice 4,...},  when I choose choice 2 in dropdown 2, the choice list of other dropdown (expect dropdown 1 and dropdown 2) should be {choice 3, choice 4,...} Can appian do like this?

I'm currently using embedded interfaces with Appian on cloud, but I will migrate to on-premises. Can I keep using them after the migration?And to migrate my applications from cloud can I simply export and then import them on premise, or is not that simple? Thanks!

Can we send hidden process variable data to sub process?

Hello, I have this interface where there is a grid that shows uploaded attachments and a button to refresh the grid whenever there is a new attachment uploaded. I am running into an issue where if the user clicks on "Refresh existing attachments" when the grid is empty, then uploads an attachment, the refresh button no longer refreshes. But if they upload an attachment and click refresh after utilizing the action, it functions as expected and the attachment shows on the grid. I am trying to cover this scenario in case a user for some reason decides to click refresh before uploading and the grid is empty.
