Hi Team,I have One Requirement that isi want to display data in read-only grid from records and that data i want to download in CSV Format also if i want to upload new data i want to upload in CSV format,if it is possible please help me with it,those import and export options i have to display in buttons.

We have a form with multiple collapsible sections, and in some of these we also have subsections. When user clicks on submit, there might be errors in the subsections that are not visible to the user because the parent section does not have the "This section contains errors" warning. I've come to discover that it's because other subsections don't have any errors. Here's an example where this happens: Here both the parent and child show that there are validation erros. The moment I add a section without validation errors, the warning disappears on the parent:   I feel like this should not be the standard behavior and is something Appian should fix on their end. The only workaround I can think of is to have validations at section level, on the parent section. But that would display a red message box on the section that for me is not desirable. Any help here is appreciated.

Hi All, There is a requirement to a get document from the third party system, Can someone suggest a way what is the best way to get the document from the third party system? Below is the implementation that I know, Apart from these any plugins or any other things? 1. Third party systems will return url where the file is located. As soon as user clicks the document can be downloaded into the local system. 2. Thir party systems will return the document in binary format and Integration can convert binary to document from the respsonse.   Apart from this Do we have any other way to get the document from the third party systems? My Next question is  If other systems want to post a document into appian, how exactly web appi will configure it, how the request hader document format will be? Thanks in Advance!

Hi, In our Application, we read an email box and for each email - we should check if it has any attachments and uncompress them. We have a requirement from business to uncompress zip, eml, msg, rar files upto 3 levels in depth and extract data and attachments. Is there a plug-in to achieve this? Well, how am I supposed to reference the properties of this query in another process model? It is a dictionary, however I cannot reference a dictionary in a process model, so would it be supposed to convert the query to a map or what? By the way, it contains some wierd properties like c0, c1, c2...dp0, dp1, dp2... How could I cast this dictionary into a map then? Thanks in advance

Consider a scenario where we have two entities: Books and Chapters, with a one-to-many relationship (i.e., each book can have multiple chapters). I currently have a read-only grid that displays records based on the Book entity. One of the columns in this grid is called "Chapters", which displays all associated chapters in a bulleted list. Since a book can have more than 10 chapters, I'm currently fetching all chapters into a local variable and indexing them based on the Book ID to display in the corresponding grid row. This approach works fine for now. However, I'm concerned about performance if the chapter count increases more than 5000 Does anyone have suggestions on how to handle this scenario more efficiently?

Hi all, We have a requirement to have custom fonts on specific interfaces... I read through the documentation and understand that this is not an OOTB feature. Admin console typeface will also not solve this issue as the fonts will be applied across all applications and cannot be referenced in specific components. How can we add custom fonts to specific interface components? Is this able to be done via a plug-in or some other means?

Hello Team, We have a requirement to populate data into an excel template which will spawn for multiple sheets. This would be in a process model as we fetch the data to populate from a rest service. We were able to achieve populating data into the excel template using the using "Export Data Store Entity to Excel Smart Service". It works fine for regular mapping. But we are stuck with these 2 requirements.  1) We are were not able to dynamically insert rows into output excel sheet in this flow, when needed. There is a requirement to dynamically insert and populate rows in certain places (in the template), which we are not able to get through. 2) Also we are looking to see if there are any plugins or ability to dynamically delete redundant sheet from the output excel. Appreciate any inputs and suggestions.

I am an SQL Server Database Administrator and I will be migrating the Appian database from a stand alone SQL 2019 server to a clustered SQL 2022 server that has Always On Availability Group.  The Availability Group will be stretched across two subnets and will employ a listener for the application to connect. My question are: A: Do you see any problems with the configuration I am proposing for the SQL server set up - SQL AG and listener B: What features do I need to have installed on the SQL Server. C: Do I need the Client Tools SDK feature installed on my SQL server - I found it installed on the existing server D: What SQL Database permission are required for the Appian user that connects the app to the SQL server.  I like to work on the least privilege concept Please if you have the answers to these question or if you have a document that illustrates my SQL settings I would appreciate it I look forward to hearing from you Jeffrey

If a user belongs to two different application groups and both the groups are added to user start page (different application), which application start page will they see after logging into Appian?

I'm trying to delete using a delete action inside interface using a stored procedure because I also need to delete related data from other tables. However, I'm facing an issue: the entity is successfully deleted from the database, but it still appears in Appian. I have a subprocess that runs after the stored procedure to sync all the updated tables, but the entity remains visible in Appian until I manually trigger a sync—after which it disappears as expected. Hi ,  We need to implement a requirement that limits the number of concurrent sessions per user. For example, if User A logs in through Session 1 and then attempts to log in on another device via Session 2, Session 1 should be terminated. Ultimately, we want only one active session per user at a time. The "Limit Number of Concurrent Sessions Per User Account" setting will allow a minimum of two sessions, but instead of terminating the first session, it will trigger an error when attempting to log in with a new session. is there any way to achieve this functionality? . The Application is on premise 24.4

Specifically, I want to segregate the values and only retrieve the ones corresponding to a particular column. Hello Community, We are currently using Appian for BPM-related processes, but recently we have started utilizing Appian as a backend service to handle multiple API requests in one of our services. We've defined REST services in Appian, and our clients are now calling these APIs, essentially treating Appian as a web server. However, we are facing some performance challenges, including timeouts and long response times. We also conducted load testing, and the results were below our expectations in terms of performance under heavy loads. My question is: based on your experience, is Appian designed to handle high API request loads in this manner (i.e., functioning like a web server)? Should Appian be used for such purposes, or should this approach be avoided due to potential limitations in handling large-scale API traffic? Any best practices, optimization tips, or insights on the suitability of Appian for this use case would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

Hi everyone, I’m running into an issue with one of my process models in Appian. The process is supposed to trigger automatically based on a record event, but sometimes it just doesn’t start. There are no errors in the logs, and when I manually start the process, it works perfectly. I’ve already checked the record event settings, confirmed the security permissions, and verified that the process model is published and active. I need to execute two delete record smart service from one saveinto.  Evidently, this is not possible as it throws an error.
