hey, I am trying to sent email to a process model which gets triggered if it receives email as receive message event. I am using an on premise appian application. I tried to sent the emial using prcoessmodeluuid@domain but the mail is not getting sent. Also how to cofigure the domain for email. I already read the document but it wasnt of much help.

Hello Community, I need help with setting up an interface. I have an "ElectivesProfile" interface that has two columns: Elective and Students. If there are students for an elective, the Students column should show "Show More"; if not, it should show "-". When someone clicks "Show More," a list of student names should appear, and each name should link to that student's ID. Clicking on a student’s name should take the user to the "StudentDetails" interface, using the Student ID to show their details. I want to create a CDT with the keys studentFullName and studentID. When the user clicks a name, I need to update these values in the CDT (I can do this part). Then, I want to send these values to the "StudentDetails" interface as rule inputs: fullName and studentID. I'm having trouble using the CDT values as parameters in the "StudentDetails" interface.

Hi everyone, Please help check whether I'm doing anything wrong in below code. I'm having an editable grid with data source is a data subset local variable. In gridRowLayout I already provided the id for identifying, and save the selected ID into a blank local variable. But when I select each row, it's value is not stored into my local variable. I also tried with fv!index but that did not work either.  Below is the data subset local variable. I indexed into it's data.fileId field.

Hi Community, I have a requirement involving a multi-select dropdown in an Appian interface. Here's the scenario: First Screen: I have a multi-select dropdown that is a mandatory field. Users must select at least one option. The selected options are saved in the database table, with each option stored in a separate row. Next Screen: The same multi-select dropdown is presented, but it is not a mandatory field. When the page loads, it should pre-select the options that the user selected in the previous screen (fetched from the database). The current user should be able to select more options or deselect previously selected options. Upon submission, the form should save the updated selections. I am looking for guidance on how to: Pre-select the options in the multi-select dropdown based on the user's previous selections. Allow users to dynamically update their selections (add or remove options) and save these changes. Any help or examples on how to implement this would

Hi all, I am trying to capture Mail sent by user and save the attachment in a folder. I am using Receive Message Event for the same and sending mail from my Gmail account to the Process Model UUID as mentioned in the forum "processmodeluuid<UUID>@subdomain.appiancloud.com". Mail is not getting sent in Gmail and used another Smart service, 'SEND EMAIL' for sending mail for the above ID. Then also the process is not working and error "No Valid recipient" is displayed. I have done everything as per documentation. Can anyone please let me know the flow on how to Send the mail and start the process to receive the mail with attachment? Thanks in Advance. How can I update a user attribute with an empty value? The "null" value is being passed from the interface but then those attributes with the null value in the pv do not get updated in the user profile.docs.appian.com/.../Update_User_Profile_Smart_Service.html

Basically this local!cashNotesvals is autopopulated when on selecting dropdown value.But this value is not save in database. If i am typing manually in this paragraph field then value is saved.

HI everyone , Is it safe to remove the unnecessary heap dump files from the bin folder without stopping the services? If I delete these files, will it cause any issues? We've resolved the heap memory problem, and the application is functioning properly, but I need to clean up the storage. Thanks, Udhaya

I have an expression rule that returns a value based on rule inputs. When I run this rule as a stand alone rule, it gets the data I expect. When I run this rule in process model A, I get the result I expect. But when I run the rule in process model B, I don't get the results I expect. These 2 process models are child processes that get called at the same time, and have the same inputs. The node that runs the rule has the exact same inputs, settings, assignments, etc. I can't see any reason why the rule would work correctly when run manually, or when run from process model A, and not process model B. For context, they are expected to return the same value in both process models. Am I missing something? If it helps, I'm using Appian Cloud v22.3

Hi All.  Am using Set External PV plugin to update process variable of two different process. Lets say process ids 12345 and 54321 and both PM are having same security. But I could able to update PV for process 54321 whereas I couldn't do the same for other process. Its showing below error.  "An error occurred while trying to update the PVs of process with id 12345: Insufficient permission" Can anyone suggest how to troubleshoot this? Thanks in advance!

On the Landing Page, I have a Navigation menu on the left and Record List on the right, When I click on the Loan Id hyperlink on one of the Record, it takes me to the Summary Page for that record clicked. Issue I am having is, the Summary page is taking up full page and overwriting the Navigation pane on the left hand. Please see 2 screenshots I have attached. How do I get the Summary page to be restricted to the right side of the Interface section and not go over the Navigation pane on the left?

I was wondering if it's possible to have a video loop play in the background on entry navigation in Appian before progressing into the applications? As an example of a website that depicts a real pop in what the business offers: Kirby Corp has a great video of how the business moves chemical pressurized, dry bulk, or heavy product while still allowing the users to interact with the interface.
