Is Azure Database for PostgreSQL or Azure Database for SQL Server supported for Appian Self Managed Instance deployed in Azure? If not, what is recommended approach for Appian Self Managed Instance deployed in Azure. My customer preferred Azure native PaaS Database. I could not find it in the following list.

Hi Team, I have a requirement where I need to post data from process model. We don't have any interface to keep the integration in save into parameter , so we need to run it in process model itself. After posting the data, we will get some id in response where I need to use the id in the next node. I was trying to fetch the id from the response and I am not able to do it as when I am calling it in expression rule or script task the response is getting considered as "reaction tree". Can anyone please help me how can I achieve my requirement.Thanks in advance!!

We have a requirement to save login-audit.csv files into the database and show them in grid format. The problem is that the files older than 1 month are saved in 'gzipped' format and I am unable to access them using 'Log reader' plugin. I thought of an approach that includes saving these files into appian and then unzipping them for further processing but I am unable to save them.Any help is much appreciated.

Import Excel to Database  Plugin -  we are importing the data with this plugin and using the latest version of it, but in the new version we are seeing one issue,  Excel headers and Table columns name required  to keep the same, for example  CONTACT_NUMBER(Excel template)  = CONTACT_NUMBER(Table column) then only plugin is going to work. but user's file header with Contact Number not CONTACT_NUMBER.  is there any alternative way to have headers with camel case and the logical wording not the table column name in the template like CONTACT_NUMBER or any way to edit the template headers after upload and to make change in header from Contact Number->  CONTACT_NUMBER(Excel template) to match table column name?

I have a scenario. I have a parent folder ID and inside the parent folder there is may folder. And inside the folder there is many sub folder. Now I have to find out a specific subfolder ID withe help of  parent folder ID. Please suggest. Thanks!

Hi Guys, I Have a requirement where the user will enter the date&time(date&time component) and the timezone(given in the dropdown). I want it to be converted based on the timezone user has given which in turn has to be converted again to GMT and be stored in the database, but in the screen level i want to display whatever the user has entered without any conversion. Is this achievable ?

How to navigate to this path ( <APPIAN_HOME>/conf/appian-topology.xml.example) ? I need to remove the filter button from a read-only table in Appian created from a record type. How can I do this?

I have a use case involving a read-only grid, where the last column contains a recordActionField. My requirement is for some actions within this field to open in a dialog box, while others should open in the same tab. Currently, the recordActionItem does not permit specifying the behavior for how each action opens. I am limited to using the configuration settings of the recordActionField for all actions. Is there a solution to address this issue?

On 24.2 - I have a Product Record Type with a 1:n relationship to a Assignment Record Type. I need a custom record field on Product to show the "current assignee", which is one of the many Assignments, based on the product's current status and assignmentType. Since custom record fields do not support 1:n relationships, I thought to create a composite key following this recipe https://docs.appian.com/suite/help/24.2/custom-record-fields.html#create-a-composite-key.  The problem is I cannot find where to mark the new custom record field as unique. What am I missing?

I've created a new company specific Component Plugin following the Package Structure - Appian 24.2. It was submitted, approved and signed. When I've tried to deploy it in our cloud-based DEV environment, then plugin upload returned with an error. When I try to access Appian from an embedded interface and it is through SSO, I get the following error: This happens because the SSO is done through microsoft and the corresponding login cannot be done. Therefore, this error interface remains and the appian embedded interface cannot be used. Can anyone think how to access the microsoft SSO and be able to login with Appian? If you access the SSO in an Appian window (without being embedded) it works without problem, it only happens when it is embedded in a non Appian application. I have a html file and I have put anchor link in the Table of Content that will direct me to the selected part in the html webpage. But after I print the page and save as pdf, the anchor link is clickable but it directs me to the wrong part. Anyone have idea of how to solve this? I also try to use html to pdf smart service instead of printing as pdf, the anchor link in pdf completely doesn't work.

I'm encounetring a problem with Appian Academy, where after completing a part of the course (when green checkmark appears) trying to see the content results in a bug, where the content is displayed for a couple of seconds, and then goes blank, as in the screenshot below. If I go to Course evaluation, and then back to course content, I can see the content for about 3 seconds, and then it dissappears again.It only happens with courses, or parts of courses that I completed (green checkmark).Has anyone experienced this bug? Do you know how to fix it?

Good Day I am trying to send a csv file from Appian to an external sftp server. I have setup the username and password in the 3rd Party Credentials and I added the plug-in to the allowed Plug-In list. In my configuration of the SFTP object: i have the following for file transfer configs: where server host name refers to the actual server name. Remote host path:  Document to Send : pv!stockData   ( where pv!stockData is of type document and is an output from the Export Data Entity to CSV : Process model runs but I am receiving : FAILED and the error is "No Such File" Please advise what I have done incorrectly. Hi all, I'm struggling with this very silly, frustrating issue hahah. This screen shot is the footer of a word doc template: This is a shot of how it looks after the PDF is generated: You can see the value that is centered in the template is now smooshed up to the left. We're generating a word doc from the template, then converting to PDF. I'm not sure if it's because we're using XML to generate it (I don't know XML very well) and if I need to actually concat some XML footer code to the rule we're using to generate the word doc. I've tried playing around with the template footer, I can't tell you how many versions I've tried. I've tried putting the entire footer in a table and making the grid lines disappear, but for some reason the outer border of the table still shows up on the generated PDF. I've tried making the entire footer one ###footer### then passing in the values in the PM. Hello team, I have a somewhat complex request from a client and I would like to know if any of you have faced something similar. A user needs to fill out a form and once completed, that form needs to be approved by more than 20 different groups. If one of these groups requests an adjustment to the form, it needs to be returned for the user to correct and when this form returns, it will only go through the person who requested the adjustment again and not all the other +20 groups. For example: I fill out a form, 18 groups accept it and 2 request adjustments. There will be 2 adjustment tasks for me, and when I make the adjustment, only the groups that requested the adjustment would be asked to approve again. Note: The flow will only continue when everyone approves.Thanks.

Currently, Appian only allows either a sidebar navigation or a top navigation bar, but not both simultaneously. when the sidebar is collapsed the logo becomes barely visible, would be great to be able to have a top bar for the branding and have the navigation in the sidebar or at allow to have different versions of the logo when the sidebar is collapsed vs expanded

Hi, overview : 1. I am sending a email to process model and store the data's in pv 2. With the use of (Create Eml File from OOTB Poller) smart service generating a document in EML format 3. In classify email AI - passing the generated document as input. I am getting an error saying " The user does not have permission to view document " in classify email All objects(AI,process model,document folder) have Admin access Also the generated doc from step 2 is showing "not in the application" but it is in document folder within the application Pla suggest a solution to resolve this. I'm encountering an issue with the Automated Versioning Manager (AVM) in Appian while managing application exports and imports through GitHub. Here's the scenario: When I export an application from Appian Designer, I receive a ZIP file that contains a 'META-INF' folder. Inside this folder, there are two files: 'export' and 'MANIFEST.MF'. I then use AVM to push this ZIP file to a GitHub branch. When I download the ZIP file from the GitHub branch or update my local repository with the application using the AVM command, the 'META-INF' folder now contains an additional subfolder named with the UUID of the application. Inside this subfolder, the same 'export' and 'MANIFEST.MF' files are present. Due to this additional subfolder, when I try to import the application back into Appian, it throws an error: The specified file does not contain a valid package and cannot be imported.
