I am facing an intermittent issue with sub-process execution in Appian. A sub-process completes successfully and, in the parent process, the sub-process node shows as completed. However, the main process does not advance to the next node and remains stuck at that point. This is happening both in multiple process models and at different points in the flow. The same process models have executed successfully in other test runs, including cases where the same sub-process followed the same Flow and completed correctly. There are no errors logged, and the sub-process always completes correctly. The only common pattern I have noticed is that the issue tends to happen in process instances that have been running for a long time and have traversed many nodes and multiple possible paths before reaching the sub-process. Hello Appian Community, I'm experiencing a URL encoding challenge with query parameters in an integration and would like to know if there's a solution or workaround. The Problem: I need to pass query parameter values that contain spaces (e.g., "North America") to an external API via a GET request. When I use Appian's standard Query Parameters in my integration object, the spaces are encoded as + signs, resulting in ?searchText=North+America. However, the external API we're integrating with does not recognize + as a space character and requires spaces to be encoded as %20 (i.e., ?searchText=North%20America). What I've Tried: Pre-encoding the parameter with substitute() - Replacing spaces with %20 before passing to the integration causes double encoding, resulting in %2520 because Appian encodes the % character itself Using urlwithparameters() function - Still produces + encoding for spaces, which follows the application/x-www-form-urlencoded standard Stand

By default the Appian RPA designer doesn't come with a "code" activity (in Java I assume) that would give me full power on implementing whatever I want to do, am I right? Do you guys have any suggestions? what can I do to come up with full programming power? Thank you.

Is there any feasability to print the value of a local variable in the runtime & the value it has in the console.  (Like other programming languages for debugging)

we have a collapsable grid whose individual cells contain dynamic links. Assume this grid takes up the entirety of screen. Upon clicking the dynamic link 3 variables are saved (local!showTransactions, local!accountEntityCode, and local!transactionAccPer).   Another interface loads below the grid when local!showTransactions = True.    However upon clicking the dynamic link value, there is no indication of this newly rendered interface. The current grid takes up the entire screen. We need some way to notify the user of the new interface rendered below. Ideally, when the user clicks on the hyperlink, it will jump to the section what was loaded below.    What we want to avoid using: recordLinks and startProcessLinks cause major slowdowns compared to dynamicLinks when generating the linked values of the collapsable grid. Dynamic Links are preffered.  Any recommendations?

Hi, I am having an issue where if I log out of an environment and log back in again, the screen I am presented with is tempo as opposed to the site page that I have configured in the user start pages section of the admin console. There are no other pages (tempo included) configured in the admin console except for the one that I want. I have tried removing all users from the tempo users group but that does nothing. This is happening for all users. I don't know of any other way to configure user start pages other than the tab in the admin console. Does anyone know anything about this and any way to fix it? It is going to be an issue for end users in a live system where we do not use tempo at all. Many thanks

Hi Team, I’m encountering an issue while uploading a file as part of the integration. The upload works fine for PDF files, but when I try with a .rtf.gz file, I receive a 403 Forbidden error. Interestingly, when I upload the same file to the same URL using Postman, it works without any problem. Could someone please look into this integration issue and help me resolve it? Hi,  I want my alphanumeric field with the below condition. if the text is asdf45 I want the output total as 10 digits with Zero's in the front. How can I do that? When I try doing text(asd45,"0000000000") --> this is not considering the strings present.Thanks!

Hi, I am using Appian Version 25.4, I have created an Interface with Grid in it. Grid is just expected to read data from Record Type and display it on the Grid. But I only see headers on Interface when I am previewing it. What am I doing wrong here? I am including code here and the output of the Preview. Hi, I am managing an Appian app across multiple environments and need to monitor licensing usage. I need to be able to identify users who have not logged in the past 90 days and need to do this analysis by user group. However, I cannot find any 'Last Login Date' field anywhere. Interested to know how other people have approached this. One very manual solution would be to process the audit log file daily to compute and maintain manually a 'Last Login Date' field, but I am hoping to find a more elegant/sustainable solution. Additionally, the audit log file does not indicate the user group(s). How can I include / Where can I find this information? Thanks for your suggestion. Much appreciated!

Hello, We have recently upgraded to 25.4 version. The deprecated plugin 'Execute Stored procedure' is removed, and Appian inbuilt function is used to execute the stored procedure to load the data in cloud DB. However, the node is failing with error - Query execution was interrupted (max_statement_time exceeded). Kindly help what is missing and if the 25.4 version has any specific config to set the max statement time. On some of the node receiving following error - ORA-01013: user requested cancel of current operation https://docs.oracle.com/error-help/db/ora-01013/. I have a editable grid.  I have to select only one row at a time.  Based on the selected identifier, I am displaying another grid in the side.  How can I select only one row at a time?

I am getting below error in a node where export CSV "Export data store entity to csv" we are using to export from view. I have checked the view performance ( which is good) and the table data its having only 3800 rows . I am not able to find out the reason of failure as this error is not captured in the tomcat.stdout log. Error accessing data store entity: OutputView. Please contact a system administrator for additional details. (APNX-1-4505-026) Any pointer to check any other thing which I have not think of will be helpfull.

Hi all, I’m using AI Document Center (AIDC) extraction models in a process to save extracted data to the database, and I’ve run into an inconsistent behavior between two models. Scenario A user uploads a document into my application. I save that document into an application folder. I send the document to an AIDC extraction model. After extraction, I delete the uploaded document from my application (using standard document deletion so it’s removed from Appian). Observed behavior For Extraction Model A, the Extraction Instance record has: sourceDocumentId = 46852 documentId = 46856 I delete the document my app knows about (46852). I can still open the Extraction Instance and reconcile without errors, which suggests AIDC is using documentId (46856), not sourceDocumentId. For Extraction Model B, the Extraction Instance record has: sourceDocumentId = 46908 documentId = 46908 (same value) When I delete the document fro

Hi all, I am using the AI Doc center version 2.9. I am trying to extract invoices with single and multiple line items. There is a field called service code, which needs to be a list of string. In the extraction details, I have given an options rule, which returns a list of string values, based on the type of invoice.  The prompt for this field is: " This should be selected from the values in the options. This value should be null if it is a dental receipt.  Please ensure you return a text value. When it is a single value, please ensure you return a single text value." The extraction is working fine when there are multiple line items in the receipt. If it is a single line item, the value is extracted as {"[value:Chiro-Init", "spanId:99492f14]"}. I need the value to be "Chiro-Init". Due to this, the extraction summary page is displaying the error: "A rich text item or rich text list item in a rich text display component [l

Hello everyone, Is anyone else having a problem with extremely slow file uploading process using the a!fileUploadField component in a form? It literally takes 30+ seconds to upload a 4kb text file. During the uploading, it completely freezes my browser instance. I can't access any other tabs.  Is there a solution?
