I am creating a dynamic intake form in case management studio where the visibility of few fields depends on values of previous fields. Without using local variables, I am facing cache issue when the values/selections are changed in the previous fields . In the interface I don't see any submit or save button to pass no the values from local variable to rule inputs. Please suggest how to handle this situation.

Hello, Is the Rule Event node supposed to break activity chaining? If yes then could someone point me how to achieve something similiar? I've got to wait for all incoming 0 to 4 flows to finish and then start the Statuses PM, all without breaking AC so i thought rule event was perfect for that but its breaking the AC. I know adding XORs and dummies in each route going into AND would solve this but im running low on nodes so maybe theres more efficient way. I'm on Appian 23.4 Thanks!

Hi, I have two environments (one is hosted, other on premise). In hosted environment Send Email Smart Service works without problems, while same code in on premise installation doesn`t.We`re using the service to send an email to the person who started a request. hi, I am trying to build a landing page with three panes.  middle pane has a grid with 10 columns, It ends up showing three and adds horizontal and vertical scroll bar. Is there a way where I can adjust the pane, so that it fits perfectly and shows entire grid. Already tried width component of the pane. Doesnt add difference

Hello I'm trying to build interface where 2 tables are connected.Now for the first table I have interface where user can click on record action and create the record, but for the next table i want user to go under the summary of the first interface and then create record for second table which have relationship many to one with the first table. Is there a way to create record action with just pulling the ID from the summary to be associated with the second interface.So on press it will auto populate the ID where it has one-to-many relationship and user will enter rest of the information and click create.

Hi  I am using the group function to get the attributes related to the group  group(<groupId>, <property>) I am using this in an interface used on my site.  But what I have come to notice is when logging into my site as a basic user, there seems to be an issue where in the user has insufficient privileges for group() function  Can anyone please help me in this ?  Error Screenshot  

Hello I'm trying to get the task id from my read only grid with selection function of grids. I'm trying to store the task id in rule input, but what this is doing now is when I select one row it's storing all task id's in the rule input not only the single which I have selected and it's not updating the selection in the UI it's refreshing and the selection is gone. Hello,  I am having trouble getting validations to show up using a multiple dropdown component. When I pass in "Show Validation" for validations, nothing is shown on the component. When I do this for a dropdown component, it works as expected: My message is displayed with red text underneath the component. How can I show validations underneath the multiple dropdown component? Hi Everyone, I'm currently working on a group of applications that represent different departments of the same company. We've  also implemented a Landing Page for unifying the access to a single link. The challenge I'm facing is a request to be able to return to the Landing Page from each department site. Since for each department we're using different Site objects, it's not possible to have a 'Home' on the top ribbon that allows to return to Landing Page. We can return to the interface but the other pages/page groups remain visible and the request is to have them hidden. Obviously we can create a custom link or button somewhere in the site to allow the users to return to landing page but I haven't found any good front end ideas to do this in an organic manner. By the way, the users don't prefer the icon that shows the different sites on the top right, they even requested it's removal but I don't think that's possible.  Thi

Hi, I have a word template in which Signature is a field.  I am capturing all the fields of this template in an Appian form.  I am capturing signature using signature field, I am using the XML functionality to populate the fields in the word template.  I am able to populate all the fields, but how can I populate the signature which is stored as a document in Appian.  Can you please help me? ValidationGroup is not working as expected, when applied against a file component. It is validating entire form and not restricted to fileUpload component only.  Requirement: When user clicks on "Upload File" button it should only validate file specific validations. Hi i am new to appian , I have been working on a activity where I have to generate document through ms doc from template smart service. This document generation was happening in a subprocess from there I am greeting the generated document id to parent process I am not sure whether this flow going right or not .Now I need to update this id to record for particular user like based on their profile id I need add this document which they will be able download through interface which will be another big task for a beginner .
