Is there any way or function  to display or get the total list or the count of application in the environment. I need it for the report page in UGMA. Also the recent activity of loggedInuser over time or something like that.

Hi Folks, I am showing the data in a grid format in the dashboard page and the request id in that grid is a link which is navigating to the record summary page. I am providing record action in summary page for user to take some action which is being opened in a dialog box. Now when user submit the dialog box, the process running in the background and once completed, the user is coming in the summary dashboard. Now the client wants, when user submit that record action, instead of landing in the record summary page, then want to land into the dashboard page. Is it feasible? Regards, Ghanashyam

Hi, I have a requirement where I am querying a process report to check if an active process exist. If there is an active process which means a task was created and based on that the UI is made read-only. I have to query the process report continuously to check if the task is created until the process is triggered. The UI is editable but as soon as the task is created the UI becomes read-only(by querying process report for active instance). Once its in read-only the query should not happen to check the process report. EX: local!editReportdata: a!refreshVariable( value: index( rule!getActiveInstances( pagingInfo: a!pagingInfo(1, 1), workflow: ri!workflow ), "data", {} ), refreshAlways: true() ), local!isInstanceActive:a!isNotNullOrEmpty(local!editReportdata) Here, once local!isInstanceActive is true it should remain true even though local!editReportData becomes null. if local!isInstanceActive is false it should keep on checking until it gets true(). hi,  I have an editable grid with 35 rows of data ( 5 columns editable), I have a requirement that given , if I edit something in any row , it should get saved in the database but shouldn't use any selection check box , there is only one button, that should save all the rows that are edited at one click  I wanted to save only the rows that are edited . We have a use case with a grid that has as data source a record and we need to select all the elements of the grid.The grid allows us to select all the elements at once, but only those on the first page.We also use user filters so that the data in the grid can be filtered by those user filters. We have created a button to select all the items in the grid at once using a query, but we cannot filter that query with the user filters in the record. Is there another solution to be able to select all the elements of a grid using a registry with user filters?Is there any way to access the internal query that appian makes when using those user filters to be able to use them in the query? We are facing slowness sometimes timeout error with UI. On Ui we are displaying 10 columns and one with record action icons also. Data type is record type and layout is read only gridlayout.Using logical expression to filter data and user filters.The record is queried at many places in application. Please suggest what can be possible issues because we are facing it frequently.

My requirement is that i have an editable grid which has lets suppose 1000 rows and i have to only sent the updated one to Database. i.e. if user change 3 out of 1000 rows then only 3 should be sent to process model or a!writerecords for updating this to DB rather than sending the whole 1000 rows. So what i did i created two variables for fetching record data from DB. 1 containing the original data and second containing the changed data, Now my requirement is to compare both these variables so that i can find the changed data which can then be sent for update.

For a while now we are getting JAXB errors in several different process models with the following error or similar to this error. Difficulty is that even if it will return the same error; where the error happens might be in different parts of the same process model (see below), but mostly it will break on the start process nodes from what I can see. We tried removing special characters or smileys from any fields that are passed to the process with clean(), since we feel like this might be causing the errors, but so far no luck yet. Any help would be appreciated!*Please note that I have redacted a large piece of the errortext for privacy purposes. Including parts that might contain the possibly disallowed characters/smileys etc. In this specific example I think it might have been the character ü, but we have found that it is also possible that the character that will break the process is only visible in our main database (not in the MariaDB) as a blank space which makes findin

Let me explain my situation: I have a workflow where certain actions are performed. When a user, let's say XYZ, initiates the process, they are initially assigned as the assignee. However, I need to be able to change this assignee. To handle this, I've created a separate workflow where I only capture the latest active tasks. From this list, I select the task for which I want to change the assignee. Once I reassign the task to a new user, let's call them ABC, I need all subsequent tasks initiated by input to go to this new assignee. To clarify, after initiating the process, I continue working with the same input task when I am the assignee. However, after reassigning the task through a different process, I need to capture the latest assignee for that process, even new assignee's information is already saved in the database. Please let me know if you need more information or if you have any suggestions.

We have a few draft models saved by a developer that is no longer around. Though the same have been updated and published, when the process runs, it shows the ex-developer as process initiator. Is this a known behavior? Is there a way those draft models can be deleted?  Thanks in advance.

I am creating a dynamic intake form in case management studio where the visibility of few fields depends on values of previous fields. Without using local variables, I am facing cache issue when the values/selections are changed in the previous fields . In the interface I don't see any submit or save button to pass no the values from local variable to rule inputs. Please suggest how to handle this situation.

Hello, Is the Rule Event node supposed to break activity chaining? If yes then could someone point me how to achieve something similiar? I've got to wait for all incoming 0 to 4 flows to finish and then start the Statuses PM, all without breaking AC so i thought rule event was perfect for that but its breaking the AC. I know adding XORs and dummies in each route going into AND would solve this but im running low on nodes so maybe theres more efficient way. I'm on Appian 23.4 Thanks!

In hosted environment Send Email Smart Service works without problems, while same code in on premise installation doesn`t.We`re using the service to send an email to the person who started a request. hi, I am trying to build a landing page with three panes.  middle pane has a grid with 10 columns, It ends up showing three and adds horizontal and vertical scroll bar. Is there a way where I can adjust the pane, so that it fits perfectly and shows entire grid. Already tried width component of the pane. Doesnt add difference

Hello I'm trying to build interface where 2 tables are connected.Now for the first table I have interface where user can click on record action and create the record, but for the next table i want user to go under the summary of the first interface and then create record for second table which have relationship many to one with the first table. Is there a way to create record action with just pulling the ID from the summary to be associated with the second interface.So on press it will auto populate the ID where it has one-to-many relationship and user will enter rest of the information and click create.
