Hi All, We have a requirement of closing the current tab in a browser when user clicks on link/button in Appian. For Instance, in a browser I have multiple tabs opened and among that one of the tab is Appian. I have a screen built in Appian and when user clicks on that particular link/button the current tab should be closed. Any thoughts would be helpful in this area. Thanks In Advance!!

Hi ,We are generating report using HTML and converting it into PDF. We are using HTML to PDF smart service for conversion.Now we need to show/hide few section in the  report based on some conditions. We used style="display: none" in html. but this is not supported by HTML to PDF smart service.P.S: We already tried using PDF from HTML smart service, but due to some design issues we started using HTML to PDF smart service.Is there any other possibility to hide/show some sections in report which is supported by HTML to PDF smart service?Thanks in Advance.

Hi Team, We have a requirement to place a signature in PDF. We created two ways of solutions. Please find the below details, 1.Signature Component and PDF Utilities plugin. 2.Docusign integration As per my organization suggestion, Docusign needs to purchase a license. But here we want a solutions for R&D purpose. Hence we are not able to purchase any third party license. We used signature component and PDF utilities(Image to PDF) to merge the signature into PDF. Question: But we need to send X and Y coordinates to place a signature in right place in PDF. Is there any way of solution can User picks X and Y coordinates in Appian else share your suggestion too. Hello, is there a way to optimize the reading of excel file with Excel Tools Plug-in. Hi all, Recently been facing issues with the Email Smart Service. Often, it will fail to send an email if there are multiple attachments (PDFs). Has anyone faced issues with it before where it says "failed to process attachments" although the documents are available? It's causing me a major headache, so I'm thankful for all kinds of input. I am using user filter in recordtype . Type of filter is daterange. Filter is done by expression rule not by selecting field of record data. I want  start date and end date from daterange picker . How will i get both date? or how can i find data whose date is between this date range.

I am getting the following error: ERROR: JAVA_HOME is not set and no 'java' command could be found in your PATH. This feature request involves navigation controls upon Site Action completion.  Currently, as with all Appian Actions, when one is completed the user is returned to the area they initiated the action from. This makes sense in a number of situations, however, not always with Site Actions in my experience.  In most situations I've encountered, a user is expected to submit 1 action at a time.  Typically we will have a few Site Pages, maybe a Home Page interface with general process details/contacts, a Record with some reporting capabilities, and a Action to submit a request.  Currently when the action is completed, the default behavior is to return the user to the same action's start form, essentially now a blank interface for the same process they have already submitted.  This causes end user confusion and creates extra development when we want to show a user a confirmation screen and allow custom navigation.  Best case, an extra click and an orphane

Is there a way to prevent an Appian object in conflict to be overwritten while importing the package. If there is no way to prevent a particular conflict to be overwritten . Is there any  properties file settings to prevent overwriting of all conflicts in that import? what I am looking for is something like importSetting.FORCE_UPDATE=true in import customization properties file, ideally for one particular object in conflict or all objects if that's not possible
