Hi All, Can anyone please let me know, is Appain integration with Accolade Software Possible ? Warm Regards Vineeth
Hi, Need help on below. Could someone please help me? I have few questions on Web API objects: Can I use query parameters in Post method? In what scenario? Where can we use Query Parameters as well as body in Post method? When I am trying to update one field model by passing body as {"id":1, "model":"Jaguar"}, It is updating all the fields and except id and model all other fields are updated with null. How can I update only “model” field? Thanks Faisal

But when used it in Interface it is showing error. a!localVariables( { a!sectionLayout( label: "Section", contents: { a!fileUploadField( label: "File Upload", labelPosition: "ABOVE", target:cons!AT_DSE_DOCUMENTS, value:ri!document, saveInto:a!save(ri!document,save!value), validations: {} ) } ), a!buttonArrayLayout( buttons: { a!buttonWidget( label: "Button", style: "NORMAL", submit:true, saveInto:rule!UploadDocumentToAppian( document: ri!document, documentName: "Test.pdf") ) }, align: "START" )})

I am using the Trial Version of Appian as i am new to the ecosystem and trying to create an sample application that will query data from an API endpoint that requires an AWS Cognito authorization token to authenticate the user accessing the API. I tried using the API Key on the Connected System object i created, where the header name is authorization and i place my AWS Cognito token as the value of the API Key, but I get the following error. Any suggestions that would help me understand this and allow me to make this work would be greatly appreciated. Dictionary success: false result: HttpResponse statusLine: "HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden" statusCode: 403 headers: Dictionary Server: "Server" Date: "Tue, 08 Jun 2021 15:12:10 GMT" Content-Type: "application/json" Content-Length: "23" Connection: "keep-alive" x-amzn-RequestId: "8a4c3490-c568-41dd-98e0-518312a3b3c4" x-amzn-ErrorType: "ForbiddenExce
No answers on any of these posts: Do we know if there is any recommended way of passing the process model parameters when exposing the process with process start form as Embedded Interfaces? community.appian.com/.../passing-input-parameters-to-embedded-interface https://community.appian.com/discussions/f/general/12171/using-embedded-actions-process-start-forms (Not looking for any webAPI based approach, as there is a risk of race condition always, hence said any "recommended" way?) Thanks!
how can we handle integration exceptions when called from process and also when called from interface
Is there a way for Appian to receive an external document download link and convert that to a document stored on Appian? I have tried using the "Document Upload" Web API template without success This only allowed me to pass documents already stored on Appian into the Web API Looking through https://docs.appian.com/suite/help/21.2/passing-a-web-api-document-into-a-process-model.html wasnt very helpful I have also tried using an integration object and converting binary to Appian document but got an error saying that my url doesn't match "[*.appiancloud.com, appiancloud.com]" Any suggestions here would be appreciated. Thanks
is there any way to send multiple appian documents to external system. currently im using download document Web API its allowing me to send only one document . i tried passing multiple documets but its simply taking the first document and ignoring others anyone can help me pls
I have an integration that queries for a single image based on an ID, and returns a response body with the image as binary: I need to get and display an image for each item in a read only grid using the integration. Is there a good way to do this? First I updated the integration to convert the binary photo to an Appian document, that I can then query: However, I cannot figure out how to automatically run the integration object on each row. One workaround that might be acceptable to my users is to have them click a link to see an image for a specific row. However, whenever I query an image for a specific row, it populates all rows with the same image. Here is my code:a!gridField( label: "Read-only Grid", labelPosition: "ABOVE", data: rule!RTI_RULE_GENERAL_index( item: local!realData, indexArray: { "assets", "attributes" } ), columns: { a!localVariables( local!imageResultForRow, { a!gridColumn( showWhen
I need to authorize the user against Azure AD every time he click on a save button. I am able to authorize for the first time using a!authorizationLink via the connected system with OAuth 2.0 Authorization Code Grant. This authorization is active for 15 mins (because the access token may be having an expiry of 15 mins.) Now, all the sub-sequent integration calls are getting authenticated for next 15 mins but I want to restrict it and force the user to re-authenticate again and always (whenever he clicks on Save button) via the connected system and a!authorizationLink. Any thoughts would be a great help. TIA.
I am currently using OAuth 2.0 code grant authentication to connect to external system. I am able to generate token as pass it as an authorization header to the external system. But the problem is I am using connected system to get the access token but after the successful authentication i am getting id_token and access_token in the response. I am supposed to pass id_token as an authorization header but access_token is being sent as authorization header. Help is appreciated. I am looking for any of the solution below or new option 1- How to extract connected system response into a variable? 2- Without using connected system how to generate OAuth2.0 token with Grant type as "Authorization Code". 3- How can I tell the connected system to pass id_token as a header rather than access_token?
Was not able to get the SharePoint connected system to work out of the box with client authentication. I think this is due to a change on the SharePoint online side and I had to make some config changes based on this thread: SharePoint Online authorization issue 'Token type is not allowed' - SharePoint Stack Exchange Get started with the SharePoint Online Management Shell | Microsoft Docs Just FYI for anyone running into 401 errors. Maybe Appian can update the connected system and documentation to use an Azure Enterprise App instead of the old school SharePoint apps.
Hi, For handling asynchronous calls from Appian, I have analyzed below approaches. Can you pls advise which approach would be suitable for below scenario? If you have any better solution, kindly let me know. Thank you in advance. Design summary: 1- Orchestration is carried out in Appian process model. There are three external APIs (Say A, B and C) that need to be invoked from Appian. 2- After calling API-A, Appian will hold the process flow 3- Once Appian receives response for API-A asynchronously, then it should move on next step 4- Same pattern follows for API- B and API-C We have following solutions to accomplish this Asynchronous communication pattern. Solution-1: After invoking API-A at step#1 , flow moves to User input task to hold the process at Step#2 Response payload for the above call will be published to KAFKA topic at Step#3 from upstream system ( system for API A) Custom message listener ( JAVA based component ) will pick the response message from KAFKA topi
Has anyone received a 502 Bad Gateway response from calling a POST REST service via an integration and if so what was the cause and how did you fix the issue? We have an integration that calls an internal service to send emails from a corporate email account that can include attached documents. It works fine with an attachment of around 1.5MB but returns a 502 Bad Gateway response with an attachment of around 2.5MB. The service itself is tested with attachments up to 10MB. When we get the 502 Bad Gateway response there is no record of the request ever reaching the service endpoint (it's not in the service logs). The response body shown in Appian is: <html> <head><title>502 Bad Gateway</title></head> <body> <center><h1>502 Bad Gateway</h1></center> </body> </html> The integration is using the Automatically Convert CDT to JSON option to convert the attached documents to Base64 Any advice or suggestions to help
Hello, I have 3 Record types with different project statuses (In Progress, Closed and Deleted). For the In Progress and Closed record types I have an related action which changes the project status from In Progress to Deleted and from Closed to Deleted. Once the related actions returns back after completion the project doesn't have the previous status anymore and it cannot be found in that Record Type also. The message that I receive is:" An Error has occurred, The record data does not exist, has been deleted, or you do not have sufficient privileges to access it" thing which make sense. In order to avoid this thing I would like to redirect user to main site of the application in the same tab. (Appian version is still 20.4) I have been searching in all the topics but unfortunately no solution was found. Do you have any idea? Thank you!
Hi Team, Can we call the python scripts from Appian,I need to trigger it from Appian We are using the cloud Thanks, Udayasai
Is it possible to upload diffrent type of documents in upload document web api. i need to upload pdf ,jpg and png in a single API can anyone help me pls and can i pass a binary document into an upload document web API?
Hi All, We have a UI where we call a safe link to open an External UI in the same tab. This safe link can be triggered from multiple places in Appian (Sites or Tempo). A single user can have access to multiple sites or tempo from where they can trigger the safe link. Now on the External UI, we have to call a link (link will be sent to External UI using API) to navigate back to Appian from the original location, but the problem is we do not have the browser URL from where the user clicked the safe link from. So is there a way we can find out from which site/tempo was the safe link triggered?Eg -User is on Site A -> Triggers a process -> UI has safe link -> User clicks on Safe link -> Navigated to External SiteUser is on Site B -> Triggers a process -> UI has safe link -> User clicks on Safe link -> Navigated to External SiteNow how do we know that the user was on Site A or Site B as in Sites we cannot add any parameters while calling any processNote -&g
Anyone was successful in setting up SLO with Okta? I am successful in setting up SSO, but for SLO, okta requires a Signature Certificate. And no matter what I provide (like one self signed generated using openssl, or provide the godday cert for Appian), it is not working. It says Signature is invalid. Is there any pointers please?
IDp Source: AWS SSO, Accessing Appian app. as external application thru AWS SSO SAML authentication. Could you pls suggest how do we import / upload the signing certificate in AWS SSO? I could not find any option to upload the certificate in the "Manage Certificate" section. Is this something that we can't do in AWS SSO whereas this is allowed in Azure AD SSO. The AWS SSO certificate which we can download does not contain the private key. My SAML Appian SP application expects to configure SAML settings with private and certificate data in the combined . pem file. In AWS SSO, I'm unable to upload / import the certificate file that I've configured in Appian application. Does it means AWS SSO SAML authentication not compatible to integrate with Appian? We've managed to successfully configure and test this with Azure AD SSO. I'm trying for alternative approaches of integrating AWS SSO Idps with Appian app. Thanks.
We have an integration object that calls an API that returns a document. So far we only needed PDF so we hardcoded the extension to .PDF. Now we can also receive a TXT file that contains JSON data in it. What is the best way for us to dynamically set the extension depending on the document that we receive? The integration team added the Content-Type to the HTTP headers but when I remove the .pdf, the document extension is set by Appian to .bin. (The txt file is getting set to .json) Any recommendations on how to best implement this?
