Hi,  I am seeing the below error when opening the Record Type: The Requested Record Type Is Not Available Expression evaluation error [evaluation ID = 7b41e:b21e2] at function a!recordList: A grid component [label="null"] has an invalid value for "columns". A grid column [label="Image"] has encountered an error. Expression evaluation error at function a!imageField [line 47]: The image at index 1 in an image gallery component [label=""] has an invalid value for "document". "document" must not be null. Hi All,  I have 2 fields in data type and i want to generate pdf file with the data present in Data type. I have created pdf temlate and i could see fields mapped . What value shoud i replace in " replace with " field. I replaced it with pv! but i am able to see only one row. I want to fetch all the records in data type . Please suggest

Hi, I am new to Appian and learning the 'Certified Developer Appian' course. Under the course content I am currently doing  Workflow >> Process Modeling 101: Automate Your Business Processes >> Exercise 8: Process Modeling 101, Part 1 >> page no. 6. See screenshot below Strangely I am not able to find the record type Status while I am trying to define the dropdown of the status field on the 'Add Vehicle' Form. I have successfully executed all the step by step process as in this document. I am able to see the other 2 record types - Category and Condition.  The recordType Status is existing but when I try to find it on the expression editor I am not getting it Product Category is the last recordType..nothing below that. Any help will be appreciated.. thanks jaideep

In this case the financial review pass data to office manager  when office manager click return to financial department in the interface it should get back to the financial executive to review the interface the problem is with this loop the second time the financial executive submit the form it written as a new row , i need this second review to be an update to the first row the second problem is that the office manager cannot open his form after second financial form submission

Hi I want to check for duplicates in Supplier list when I am adding a new supplier.  I tried using this expresssion:  a!textField( label: "Supplier Name", value: fv!item.description, saveInto: fv!item.description, validations: { if( count(wherecontains(local!suppliers,index(fv!item,fv!index,{})))>1, "Supplier already exists",{} ) }, But I am getting the error -> Could not display interface. Please check definition and inputs. Interface Definition: Expression evaluation error at function a!forEach [line 39]: Error in a!forEach() expression during iteration 1: Expression evaluation error at function 'wherecontains' [line 52]: Invalid types, can only act on data of the same type (Any Type, Text) I tried the methods mentioned in earlier posts but not able to fix it yet. We 3 developer wants to create an application. So, I am making 3 Administrator Users and then I are granting them access under the All Users Group and other groups. But after Sign In from the id that is provided at the time of user creation, this application is not visible in their respective Appian Designer Window.  So my question is: how can we 3 developers work on a same application remotely simultaneously?

Hi all, I am facing one issue in read only grid where i have 5 columns in that grid, one column name is Reviewer( who reviews the form). After filling the details in the form and submitted it to the reviewer, the reviewer column is not updating in that grid. Ex: I have added "Ravi" as reviewer. After refreshing the page, the reviewer column data is updating as "Ravi" before that its not updating. Requirement: Reviewer column has to update when i submitted the form. Note: We are using one expression rule where the data is coming from database to the grid in that rule the reviewer column data is updating as "Ravi" but in the grid its not updating. While other columns are updating as soon as i am submitting the form.

Hi Guys, I am new to Appian and want to become certified and become a full-fledged Appian developer. I am a self-taught dev and don't have a tech degree, I was earlier working as a React developer/Front end developer and Javascript is the only language I know. I've done only done functional programming so far and have dabbled with OOPs here and there. I also have hand-on experience with MongoDB(but not SQL).  Do you think my background is good enough for me to just jump in and start learning Appian development? Or should I develop a foundation first with OOPs, SQL, etc. or learn some Java. It would be very helpful if you can suggest me a prerequisite that I should work on before jumping in.
