Hi We are using SAML Group Synchronisation to sync Azure AD groups to our Appian groups. All works correctly. However, due to a temporary situation, we will have two Azure AD groups which should be mapped to the same group in Appian. See below, where we have the attribute 'memberOfValue' and a group name, we would need that attribute repeating. e.g. Attribute - Value memberOfValue - Group1 memberOfValue - Group2 I am thinking this is not possible and that probably we have to set up a second saml sync group with the correct attribute, then add this group as a member of the Appian group. Anyone had this scenario? Thanks.
Hi, Currently, we are considering the possibility of configuring SAML as the authentication protocol for internal citizens, while using OAuth as the authentication protocol for regular citizens. We would like to be able to choose the authentication method based on the application being used. My specific questions are as follows: Is it possible to configure both SAML and OAuth simultaneously in Appian for different user groups? How can the appropriate authentication protocol be determined and selected based on the application being used? What are the best practices or recommendations for achieving this dual authentication configuration efficiently and securely? Thanks!

Hi, We are currently runnning on Appian 23.1 with Linux OnPrem servers. We are using Apache Webservers. Can we replace Apache web server with Citrix NetScaler Load Balancer. Is any one using this setup. We have two sets of environments (one with high availability for certain applications) and the other is Distributed( for other applications). Kindly advise on the use of load balancer and provide any documentation on the same. Regards, Chetana
Is there a limit on the number of packages which an environment can contain?
Hi folks, I want to know if Appian has got an anonymous reporting features(whistelblowing) by the user of an application/site, like this one in the link: Compliance & Government Affairs Hotline Solutions - Life Sciences | Appian. I'm using the connected onboarding solution for a demo and there are a bunch of really old tasks showing up in the My Tasks and Group Tasks view. I thought if I cancelled the onboarding, it would clear out related tasks, but it didn't. Now i'm stuck with a bunch of orphan tasks in the user interface which makes for a pretty messy demo. How can I safely get rid of old tasks from the UI?
In the Appian Designer, we can see the NEW tab which shows all the design objects like process model, record type, Data type, interface, etc. Can we customize that view i.e. can we restrict the limited objects to a specific group of users? Please let me know that will be most helpful.

Hello Appian Community, My team and I are in the process of installing Appian version 22.4 on Windows 2016 Standard with IIS 10 and MS SQL Server 2016 Enterprise Edition. I'm working on a module called Query your Data. It's asking for hands on practice. Generate a Record Type Selection Query. It asks me the following: But the Query Your Data App is not available on the Appian Designer page. What can I do about this or did I miss buliding that somewhere along the way? Numbered divider Generate a Record Type Selection Query For this exercise, imagine you are an Acme Auto developer. You need to create a query that returns a list of vehicles. That list must include all Vehicle record fields and the cost field from the Maintenance record type. The query should only show the data property. In your Appian Community Edition environment, navigate to your Query Your Data application. Since you're creating a selection query, you will use the query editor to generate this query. Complete the following tasks and check them off when complete. Review the Check Your Work section when done or if you get stuck.
I am attempting to connect to my RDS Postgresql database and cannot get that connection working through Connected Systems. There is mention of opening a support case and having a driver created but whenever I use the Open Case button I get a 401 error. I haven't seen this mentioned, but is that not an option for the community edition? If that is the case, is my only real recourse to import the data to the appian database?
