I have some question, i already set locale of User setting, but Date Filed can't change the format with yyyy/mm/dd  How i can change the format of yyyy/mm/dd

Hi, We are configuring SAML login in our client cloud environment and we have seen in the documentation that Appian allows encryption for the SAML assertion "Appian supports signed, encrypted SAML assertions up to the AES-256 standard" but the information in the documentation is very limited.The question we have is if we configure encryption with AES-256 in the IDP (Azure AD), how is the decryption key stored in Appian? Do we have to provide the key to Appian to store it internally or register it in the credential store? Thanks in advance

Hi, we have configured SAML login in our environment and we need to store the SAML Bearer assertion in order to get new tokens for the users while the assertion is valid. The issue we are facing is that users can have more than one session active in Appian at the same time, and for each session we need to store the assertion related to the session UUID so we can differentiate them. I am able to retrieve the user active sessions using the plug-in User Session Checker or the login-audit log to store the session UUID with the assertion, but I need a way to get the specific user session at the moment (current session) so I can filter my query with this value and get the correct assertion.  I tried looking for any function or plug-in that will allow this but found none, so if anyone knows a way it could be accomplish will be really helpful. Team, I have Appian environment managed hosted in AWS. My Appian instance in talking to underlying on-prem data layer via VPN tunneling. Now, I can see extreme delay in production in few scenarios (Around 17 seconds). But when i am looking at performance logs, Appian expression rules & UI are not taking much time to handle request & execute. Can anyone help me on how can i check potential network lag or DB processing lag from Appian logs????? I have check rdms performance logs and they are not taking even a seconds to execute. Hi, can anyone help on my query. recently my personal instance got upgraded and when i trying to create table using Cloud Database but i am unable to see Cloud DB from 6 Dots of Menu in right side next to setting option. And, also not able to create new CDT, DS(Data Store) objects in current Appian designer. is there any specific restriction there for Appian 24.3 version of my personal cloud instance. this is stopping to me getting Hands on exp on Appian Codeing. When the Appian system is embeded to another system, we use the SAML to do the login function. When the user logout, and change another user to login the system, Appian still use the old session, and it can not be logout. So how can I logout the Appian system. I found a way to resolve this issue https://community.appian.com/support/w/kb/370/kb-1153-saml-authentication-faq,  I have noticed that logging out of my IdP does not end my session in Appian. How can I configure this to end my session in Appian too?   When logging out of the IdP, it is necessary for the IdP to then send a valid logout request to Appian. Once Appian receives a valid logout request from the IdP, Appian will terminate the user's session. In this way how do I send a valid logout request to Appian?

Hello, We have SAML configured in production, and during deployments from lower environments, we’re attempting to create a service account for all deployments. However, after creating the user, we received a temporary password email. When attempting to change this password, we encountered a “case sensitive” error in production. Could someone advise on how to resolve this issue so we can successfully create the user?

Hello, I have been trying to establish SSO for Appian. I have uploaded .pem file and IdP metadata as well, also I have filled out all rest the information required in SAML form of Admin portal. But I encountered below issue when tried to test the configuration.  Authentication was unsuccessful. Reason: The user you attempted to sign in as does not authenticate through SAML. Close this window and return to Appian Administration Console. I see this is tomcat logs :  ERROR com.appiancorp.security.auth.saml.SamlTestServlet - Error occurred during SAML authentication test: null com.appiancorp.security.auth.saml.exception.NonSamlUserExceptionFYI, IdP is Azure Ad. Interesting part is Azure sign in logs mentions that the connection was successful even though we see above issue response from Appian

Hi there,  I have a record type, just want to show the recent 7 days data, so in "Data Model" tag, I added a filter like this: a!queryLogicalExpression( operator: "AND", filters: { a!queryFilter( field: "verifiedon", operator: ">", value: todatetime(today() - 7) ) }, ignoreFiltersWithEmptyValues: true) but seems it did NOT dynamically sync, after just set the filter, I manually sync, I just saw the last 7 days data. but for today, it's supposed to just see the data since 6/24. but I still see the data older than that. so do I need to set the sync options to do the sync every day? or any better way to do this? regards, L

Hi, We are configuring SAML SSO in our client environment but after adding all the required information and saving the configuration I get this error when trying to access using SAML:  I have seen in the documentation that it could be related to the Authentication group, but the user for this test is a direct member of the Authentication group for the Idp, so it should work fine. Has anyone had this issue before and were able to solve it?  Thanks in advance.

Specifically, I need to request both the k3.lic and k4.lic files for my Appian installation, but I cannot proceed due to this access issue. Can anyone guide me on: Alternative methods to request both licenses (if License Management Application access is restricted)? How to register a developer instance with Appian? I am looking to gather details on all objects that been modified or updated in our Appian environment over last 6 months. Specifically,1. How can I obtain a list of all modified /updated objects during this period? I know, we can manually check each objects versions for the changes made, or last modified but was wondering if there is consolidated a report at object level2. Is there a way to track which users made these modifications and when?If anyone has experience with this or can point me to relevant resources or methods, I would greatly appreciate your insights!Thank you in advance for your help!

Hello all, I'm going to change configuration of password fortmat with adding more complexity. After that I would like to force all users to update their passwords accordingly. Is there a way to expire the password immediately so user will be prompted to update their password on next login?

Hi, We are configuring SAML SSO in our client environment, we completed the configuration and seems to work successfully but we have some issues when the options Create new users upon sign in is selected.  If we don't select this option everything works fine, the user created in Appian and added to the Authentication Group can access the environment fine using SAML. But when we select this box and map the attributes, the configuration test gives the error message: Authentication was unsuccessful. Reason: Required attributes for user creation not found in assertion. And when trying to access the environment with the SAML user in this case we get an error: Error 401 - Unauthorized. I have also checked the assertion xml provided by the Idp (Identity Provider Metadata) and the attributes and claims defined in the Idp and everything seems to be fine. We have opened a support case with Appian but have not yet found a sol

Hi, We currently manage a fully functional Appian HA distributed environment that contains: 3 application servers 1 web server 1 database server I had some questions regarding a migration that is being planned from a corporate level that involves IP addresses being changed for our servers hosting Appian. (Effective May 11th, 2023) If IP addresses were to change for our servers hosting Appian: 1. What issues would this cause to our Appian HA environment? 2. Which actions need to be taken in order for Appian to be fully operational when the ip changes occur? Let me know if any additional information is needed. Regards, Chetana

Is it possible to use a third party vulnerability scanning software to scan Appian code for vulnerabilities? I saw a similar question asked 7 years ago and the answer was no and just wanted to verify that nothing has changed in that time. 

Hi, We are trying to configure SAML SSO with Azure AD for a customer with Appian cloud. We need the Service Provider Signing Certificate and Service Provider Signing Certificate Password but we are not sure if this information is provided to us by the IDP, if we need to ask Appian for it through a support case or create a self-signed certificate as described here community.appian.com/.../kb-1108-how-to-create-a-self-signed-certificate-for-saml-authentication. I have reviewed the documentation for SAML configuration docs.appian.com/.../SAML_for_Single_Sign-On.html but I cannot find further information about these two fields. Thanks in advance
