Hello Team, I need to extract the file extension in a string StoneX - Dist. Agreement - XX Draft 12 Dec 2021.docx. I cannot use the document function to extract the file extension since we have the option to delete/remove the file from repository and this will pop an error "document does not exist". I'm current using the function getcontentobjectdetailsbyid(todocument(docId)) to extract the name. Is there an easy way to extract the file using an OOTB function? Thanks & Regards Girish Katti

Hi all! While working on Exercise 10 (Process Modeling 101, Part 1) I encountered an error in an expression in process model properties at process start form. It says "Neither variable(s) nor rule(s) found: recordtype". Therefore, I cannot publish the interface. At this stage the Process Start Form contains "AX_AddVehicle" as an interface with 'vehicle' as Rule input, 'AX Vehicle (Record Type) as type and 'vehicle' as value. In Variables section the vehicle with AX Vehicle (Record Type) is also named. So I followed the instructures as the step-by-step exercise prescribes. What could be the problem? The recordtype definitely exists. The previous work has been done without mistakes. Thank you. 

Hi, A process model had to be deployed from Preprod to Prod, but because of a Deployer error, the Deployer failed. To unblock the situation, the process in Prod has been deleted first in Prod before to be re-deployed with success.  The Process Model works fine in Prod, but what about the active instances ? Question : Once such a process is re-deployed is it a problem for all the active instances still waiting? Because this Process model is a "long life" process, can this one be deleted safetely (and then replaced by the new version)?

Does anyone know if there is a way for the value to be multiple possible values? So for example when I select the option label truck it will look in the data for IDs that are 3 or 4 and not just 3? Thanks

Hi All,  We are connecting to a particular schema through connection details in database and its getting successful. When we are trying to connect data source with same connection details from Appian, the schema is shown different and in Appian selecting schema while creating Data type is disabled. eg. Connecting to Schema in DB is "ABC". but after creating Data source in appian and creating CDT, Schema is shown as "XYZ" and not selecting schema is disabled. Any suggestion on how to connect to a correct schema by making any change in connection string? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I have a question I am using LDAP Tool to get users from AD and automatically create their profile in Appian.I am facing one issue which is in AD there are few fields which are not correctly coming in Appian profile. for instance user manager is not coming even though I have mapped AD "manager" attribute to "User Supervisor username " Appian field. below is the screen shot of LDAP User Profile Synchronization process model input node. also for few users state is not coming and few custom fields are also not coming ?

Hi, I have an AD group and I am trying to use LDAP for authentication. I have completed all the required setups. When I perform testing in LDAP Authentication and Configure LDAP Sync pages every is fine.  Whereas, when LDAP sync ran as per the sync schedule, actual user(s) are not listing insides the groups and I don't see any errors in the Process Activity. Can someone help here.

How do you remove the White Space on a DropdownField Component

I required to send an email to the users through custom email mailbox. I've used EWS plugin from the app market before, but it's been quite some time since this plugin got updated. I know we can use Custom Sender from Appian 'Send E-Mail' smart service but this will append environment name at the end of the email like via company.appiancloud.com which I do not want. Do, we've any other alternatives to do this?

Hi all, I got this when I tried to run the process model, I've tried to connecting two interfaces So, when the user logs in to the system he redirect to another interface which is working hours record. 

In column chart the label above the column shows a number. The problem is for the empty one it shows zero and I want it to show nothing for Zero. How to do that.

Good day,I have some APIs that do operations over the resource 'User', and the following ones are needed: GET users - To retrieve them POST users - To create them PATCH users - To update them PATCH users/disable - To disable them PATCH users/enable - To enable them The problem is that I can only have one combination of endpoint vs method, so when I try to declare the second PATCH user API to specify the path to "disable" or "enable" I receive and error.My question is: what's the Appian way for doing those APIs declarations using the Restful pattern?Create only one web API object switching between each different path?Let the endpoint be empty, and put all the URI in the path field?Other options...Thanks for the help in advance

Hello Guys, I was wondering on the Date Field Validation in Appian. The First screenshot shows that the date is entered in dd/mm/yyyy format and its auto validated.  The Screenshot shows that the date is entered in mm/dd/yyyy format and its validated to enter the date format in mm/dd/yyyy. Should it not be case throwing a validation as the valid format is dd/mm/yyyy  since the date field already in mm/dd/yyyy format? a!localVariables( local!storedValue:today()-1, a!dateField( label:"RSVP By", value: local!storedValue, saveInto: local!storedValue, ) ) Let me know If I am missing something.
