I have an external excel file containing data. I need to import it in appian data base in one of the table. How can I achieve this functionality ? is there any smart service available to import the external file directly into database ?

Hi all, I am attempting to use the following expressions user(loggedInUser(), "username") to retrieve the username of the currently logged in user. The expression is being used in a script task within a process model. When I run the process the expression returns Administrator instead of the actual username. When I test this expression as an expression rule however it returns my actual username. Any insight into the discrepancy would be greatly appreciated.

I need to make a odata request with couple of filters. One is GUID. For all other data types like String/Text and Number/Integer is working good. But when I'm trying to use GUID as text/string, Im getting below error. Error: A binary operator with incompatible types was detected. We have upgraded Appian to version 21.1. Now some functions are not working fine after the upgrade so we want to downgrade the Appian version back to 20.4.  Is it possible to do it? If yes, How can it be done? 

Hi All, I've to create the create a new application that's going to include thousands of existing objects.(For example 90K objects.) It means, if each page is displaying 25 number of objects in a page list, I'll have to navigate around 3600 pages to select all objects in each page and click "Add to Application" for each page.  Is there any quick work around for achieving this? For example, we can think about writing automated script for this process in Selenium. Just wondering if we have any another smart approaches to meet this requirement, please?  Thanks.

Hi, I am trying to deploy the process model which has old portal forms.I am getting below error when i deploy. The processModel  was not exported because it contains an invalid precedent: content [uuid=1234 location=Node > "test" >  > Task Form > Element] cannot be found. Hi all  From an Interface, I need to extract Data from a given CSV file (present in APPIAN). The only solution I am seeing is to extract the data into a DB table on the cloud and then query it.  Does anyone have the same issue? Does anyone know a possible solution?

I have used query entity to fetch the data and configured in script task at output and writing into the table.but am calling same rule for 6 times to update each fields,so it may not work efficiently.can you provide me alternative way. Hello, I am facing the below error while completing one task by clicking on a button. Also, I am getting the below error for the same task while I am trying to complete the same task using the Process Model's User Input Task's 'View Form' option: The process is getting stuck on this user input task without throwing any error. This error has been occurred after Appian 21.1 release. Is it something related to the new release? Please help me in resolving the issue. Sned e-mail smart service hangs without showing any errors on Process model Monitor Process View -> Process Detail screen. Also no smtp/mail related log messages available in tomcat-stdOut.log file.  Cusom.properties setup done as per https://docs.appian.com/suite/help/19.3/Mail_Server_Setup.html Tried using  toemailaddress/toemailrecipient - Not successful. Any other log file i should be looking into for processuuid, custom sender emails errors?  Is there any mail-listener log file available to check? I am noticing some behavior for the multipledropdown field component that seems unexpected to me. I have included an interface code snippet below, which is what the following example is based off of. The issue is this: When I select any value from the muldipledropdownfield in the code below, the most recent selection is added to the end of the array in local!selectedColumnsToDisplay. However, when I select a second value, the index of the previous selection changes, and it moves to the position that it is in the choiceValues array. For example, when the page loads the value of local!selectedColumnsToDisplay is {"Three", "Four"}. Then, I select "One" from the dropdown. I have a checkbox field that is saving an integer if checked as true. However, when I check the summary interface the checkmark is not there but it does save the value correctly. Please help. In my Appian Dashboard, some of the checkboxes are marked on screen. But when I try to save a pdf version of my page via CMD+P to my system, the tick marks disappear. I'm using Safari as my browser. Save Error:  The process model must have a valid name in the site primary language: English (GB). Switching the primary language setting (in admin console) to en_GB causes all my process models (in other applications) to show "???", so I must stay  with en_US as primary language.  How can I fix this process model to expect en_US names rather then en_GB names and let me save it ?  Thanks
