A person uploaded a excel file which contains name, group e.t.c of him/her. I need to save the details in the process variables. How can I retrive the data of excel into the process variables?

Hi All, I know we can create folder , through process model , But can we create sub - folder also , if so can anyone let me know how to do it . For eg : For Request id 1 i have uploaded 2 doc , suppose assume if doc 1 belongs to category 1 and doc 2 belongs to sub category of 1 , the doc should be saved in their respective folder, it should also check if the folder/doc exists or no . Can anyone please help me on this !

In the Design Appian Records Part 1 - Build an Application: Step 5 exercise, 7th step it says to pick aavehicle from the dropdownlist but for me it doesnt appear. I cant continue exercise because of this. However when I selected the Rule inputs for Vehicle and try to use the CDT as told, I am receiving this error below. Can anyone help me to resolve this issue? Hi, I am new to Appian and using the "Import Excel to DB" tool in the Process Model. I want to read the data for example, starting 5th line and ignore the initial header or metadata in the excel. Where can i put in that configuration and how?

Hi all,    My older version code uses executesqlQuery to execute a SQL code and it returns dictionary value . They used the rule in main interface to save the values to local variables. Now the function is deprecated and we replace it with executeStoredProcedureForQuery to execute SQL and it returns Map structure. But we are getting error while saving that in the main interface. This is the error we are getting. I have changed the index value as the new structure but still I am getting error. Anyone have idea about how to resolve that? Thanks, Kavya

hello, I am new to appian and i don't know how to study for certification exam please  help me . 

I'm going through the Appian Developer training course, following along with the exercises layed out, however today I encounter the following error when I try to allow users who can view the related records. Missing security rules on the related record type. This rule cannot be applied because the related record type for the selected relationship does not have any security rules configured, or it uses a security expression. I don't believe I've done anything that the exercises didn't instruct, so I'm not sure how I got this error or how to resolve.  Any help is appreciated.  Thank you!

Please Provide Solution or way how to do it.  Step 1: Need to get Data from Excel to Database.  Step 2: Based on Data we have column with Category it has four categories for example A, B, C, D. Based on that we need to assign to the particular group in PM. if they did not accept task in 5 min we need to send escaltion to the escaltion groups releted to that.  Step 3:  After that we need to maintain Dshboard, with all the info with each category has how many approved and how many rejected.  Thanks.

I'm new to appian .I'm little bit confuse between datastore , datatype and recordtype.If someone know about those difference please explain details. my understand is like this...it's right or not?・Datatype is a format of table to create a database.・Datastore is a database and ・Recordtype is common actions for users who will directly interact with data using recordtypes(eg.users can be directly added to data using record type and can be referenced in other interfaces and processes.) Hello In the "Welcome to the Appian Developer Learning Path", "Query Your Data" section: I am finding my screen does not look like the example and available choices (e.g. cons!AA_VEHICLE_HIGH_MILEAGE) are not available I've searched through to figure out if that was embedded or created along the way. There is one section where "low, medium, high mileage" categories are created and they don't seem to be constants (cons!). If I move through the exercise without the correct elements I'm not sure how that will impact further lessons. To this point I have spent more time trying to understand and resolve this than the entirety of the lesson is supposed to take. Any help is most welcome, thanks!
